We would hardly manage 275 here. :facepalm

Sad for Shikhi! Rahul is still there, let's see. 300 is still possible. :rolleyes

What a knock by our own little KP here - perfect flourish that we needed in the end

His reaction on each of his boundaries is quite something. As if with each of those hits, he is just proving to himself that he belongs on this stage.

Well played KL !! I am elated

Krunal you beauty!!!! He clearly exceeded my expectations here. I just bow down to him!!!! This guy had a really tough time before making it to the Indian team and many times failed to deliver to his potential in the T20I format. But today he has delivered. The fastest ODI 50 on debut!!!!!

India have got a very decent score here. Need early wickets to put England under pressure.

Very emotional was Krunal after that great knock on debut, I'm sure his dad is extremely proud of him.

This knock should help KL's confidence after all the shit he's taken after four bad games. There was some talk of Pant replacing him in the OD side, but KL's been far more consistent in the middle order for the past two years and has runs to show for it. Playing at 5 in OD's is pretty similar the amount of overs KL usually plays while opening in T20's, think it's the best position to use him with so many top-order batsmen in the pecking order.

Could be an interesting run chase, as of late India seem to keep losing the first game of any series they played after IPL 2020, and Morgan has got stitches and apparently Billings isn't 100%.

Take a bow Krunal! Making a mockery of all these years of having a specialist number six batsman when we could have had two all-rounders instead.

Rahul was scintillating as well. The number five role clearly suits him extremely well. Dhawan was unlucky to miss out on the century, looked to be in good form and that with Rohit's sedate start could arguably have cost us some 30 runs extra to make this an above par score. Still feel like we have a good chance if those damned good openers of England are dismissed early. Excited to see what Prasidh and Kuldeep can do.

This is a public forum and I can give any opinion I want as a member. I would like to keep these discussion civil and instead of calling other people's post dumb please have a civil way to prove your point. He is out of form and it is a big test for him since now he has been given the sort of confidence other players die for from the management. I dont give a rats ass how long you have followed cricket or played cricket. When I respect your opinion, I expect either you do the same or ignore my posts. This Indian management is known for chopping and cropping players left and right. People blame KL for lack of confidence when it has to be exact opposite.

KL knows very well that nothing is going to happen to him. He is in the KOHLI gang and nobody is going to touch him. He knows he has the privilege's other players dont have. Before the AUSSIE series, he was selected as Keeper Batsman, he has today played as one. This I am sure would have been communicated to him, so I do not see why he is low on confidence that people talk about and is insecure.

317 is not a defendable score. We should have got atleast 30-40 more. Shikhi played a Shikhi knock. 112 runs in last 9 overs did give us a boost though.
