First off the reason for starting a new thread is because the first screenshots i did on my other thread were too big so this will fit all on the length of the screen.

First Part Of The Story

In my next story i hope to have some spider screenshots posted of my top scorers!

Englands third game of the tour saw them taking on Pakistan in a three match series! England win the toss yet again (surely a first for vaughan eh? lol), on a hard and hot pitch they elect to bat first, applauded by Richie Benau for that decision! Dreadfull first innings for England as they struggle against Umar and Malik! Flintoff comes in and starts hammering the spin bowlers to all parts of the ground but all good things come to an end, as the innings did shortly after flintoff departed for a magnificent 73 from 71 balls! England bowled pretty well at Pakistan taking three early wickets before Pakistan built a steady partnership through Inzaman! Pakistan were evenutually skittled out for 211! A Good Combined effort from Englands Seamers!

A Shamefull performance from england in their second innings, skittled out for 134 after 34 overs with their top scorer Trescothick reaching 40. England would have to bowl Pakistan out for under 141. Despite taking some early wickets (I managed to bowl a cpu player out smashing the stumps first time EVER) England were always on the back foot and another strong performance from Inzaman reaching his half century was enough to destroy Englands faint hopes.

Conclusion: Michael Vaughan laughed off reporters claims of another England Batting collaspe and promised his team would show more togetherness and determination in the second game! He politely reminded jornalists that this was a three match series and there is plenty of time to turn this series around! What remains to be seen is wether England can stop the free scoring Inzaman in the next game?

2nd Game OF The 3 Match Test Series V Pakistan

England win the toss and elect to bat first, making sure they bat better than the last game! England make a great start to the game with Trescothick and Vaughan making an opening partnership of 148 before vaughan drives straight to mid off!
Trescothick goes on to make 157 in an immpressive innings for england.

Sp at the end of the first innings, england post a respectable score of 374 after 89 overs, the new ball finished them off in the end.

Pakistan had a reasonable innings themselves, Inzamam again frustrated england was was wacking the fast, medium and spein bowlers around the park, untill ashley Giles floated up a slow delivery quite full, which inzamam drove directly to the fielder on the boundry (phew). Malik was the only other batsmen who offerd much resistance. James Anderson had a terrific spell all but one of his wickets was off a drive, and that was a nick caught at slip. Anderson finished the innings with figure of 7-71.

So england lead by 104 runs! The second innings was a bit of an embarrasment, England came out in one day mode looking to extend their lead. Promoting Flintoff and Johnson up the order to play some big hits, both out without scoring! Only 4 players getting into double figures, Thorpe the top scorer on 41.

So Pakistan have to get 239 runs to win well into the final day.
Well if England thought they played, Pakistan played worse only two players hitting double figures, Inzamam was bogged down with a specially set up england field, he got fed up attempted a drive which just missed the man at square leg and got run out going for a third run which was never there. It was Malik's turn to frustrate England and at one point he looked like he could play out a draw or maybe win it for Pakistan, thankfully Wickets kept falling at the other end.

Conclusion: A good victory for England, which sets a nice platform for the final game V Pakistan in Faisalabad.

A good win to be had. It's good to see 5 day games actually lasting 5 days in C2004. A problem with 2002 was 4 innings in less than 2 days. Even at Edgbaston that is pushing it.

Good luck for the deciding test. Looks like the openers are in good form, and if you can stop Inzamam from scoring several hundred runs, it should be a close decider.

nice story gas man
shocked to see that flintoff was at no.3 TWICE :O but still won

he only batted there in the second innings but it messed up the stats order for the first innings! Screenshots were taken at the end of the match

3rd Test Bewteen England and Pakistan see's the series tied a 1 a piece! England go into the game on a bit of a high after their great win before! England again win the toss and elect to bat on a hard puitch! Its quite humid around the ground with just a few clouds in the sky! Inzamam said even if he won the toss he would have chose to bowl, Vaughan on the other hand said that on these batsmen friendly pitche's he prefers to get runs on the board to give his bowlers something to bowl to!

England got off to a flyer with a steady run rate, they reaches 86 before abdul razzaq caught trescothick out with a slower ball, trescothick played all around it and off stump was up rooted in the process! Butcher arrived at the crease but was given to a tight lbw decision playing a forward defensive. Then came the Hussain and Vaughan show puttingon a partnership of over 100 for the third wicket! The spinners arrived and slowed the runrate down somewhat but without taking a wicket! Shoaib was reintroduced and the change in pace caught Hussain and he was trapped plumb in front. Then came the Flintoff show, expecting to be left with the tail, he changed the context of the match! Anything pitched short he met with dazzling drives by the time his 100 came up he had hit 4 sixes! Chris Read backed up brilliantly at the other end just holding that end up! The partnership creeped up over 150! James Anderson came in with a little cameo at the end! England finish on 528 all out after 128 overs!

England bowled very well All the bowlers made contributions but Johnson definatly stood out from the rest, picking up 3 wickets with his devestating spell of fine spin bowling! He bowled Farhat smashing his off stump out of the ground with one of the best bowls i have ever seen! Anderson and giles mopped up the tail before 2 identically run outs occured near the end going for a third run (not the runout bug).

Pakistan finish on 107 all out after 42 overs! England enforce the follow on

Well Pakistan had lost 4 wickets by the time they reaches 57 the game was coasting into englands hands! Flintoff clean bowled Inzamam England were joyfull and rightly so, they had the cigar they just couldnt quite light it yet! Nothing would prepare them for what was about to happen, they were wicketless for what seemed like years as Pakistan upped the tempo and hit one day mode. The next wicket fell at 212! Yousseff and malik frustrated England for long spell forecing Vaughan to play defensive field with their one day hitting! Thankfully both were out to stupid drives, in the end. Once those wickets fell you could see the relief in the England camp. Still Kahn came in and continued to frustrate the bowlers smacking the spinners to all parts of the ground, before harmison had him caught at gully. After Kahns departure it was only a matter of time.

Conclusion: A great series win for England in the end, Vaughan was full of praise for his team despite their inability to finish off Pakistan in their second innings! Man of the match went to Andrew Flintoff with his superb innings which effectivly took the game away from Pakistan. He also picked up man of the series making contributions with bat and ball. Englands next game is a one dayer against Pakistan A, Vaughan was quick to add that England have yet to play a one dayer in these conditions and will be trying to work with his bowlers on containing runs better.

Cracking series gas, and a fantastic batting performance in the decider. I thought you said you were scratching around for runs? Looks like you've got the hang of the harder pitches at the mo.

If some of the limited overs games are anything like the ones I've played, you are in for a difficult time. Good luck!
