Mwah, i have decided to venture back into the story writing world of planet cricket, untill i get a new job at least. My world tour will be played on Test difficulty. Three test matches and 3 odi's for each country i visit, as England.

I have already toured Bangladesh and won all games easily. I have now decided to visit Pakistan. I won the first test, and am now batting in the second test.

Due to the pretty bad cpu batting, i will be bowling mainly wide of the stumps where possible in order to make the cpu bat for longer and post bigger totals. Of course this will not always be possible, as fuller and straighter balls are needed at times.

A few previous results can be found in this thread.

Screenshots to follow shortly.

The current match status.

England made a good start on a hard, bouncy but flat batting track. England all but saw off the vital new ball with Trescothick and Strauss playing well against deliverys ranging from 104mph to 95mph. Trescothick eventually fell to an good length ball that cut back from Shoaib. Strauss and key both fell playing drives, which were well caught by umar. Since then Vaughan has had the midas touch with the bat and Pieterson is playing the supporting role. The run rate has been flying. Mushtaq was literally hit out of the attack along with Sami. Maliq and Razzak are doing a good job of slowing this run rate down.

Day 1 Session 2

England continued to make good use of this flat track. Vaughan and Pieterson putting together what looks to be a match changing partnership. Both players stopped attacking so much towards the final 10 overs of the session. Vaughan completed his impressive century. Razzak has been the only decent bowler of note, going at a misely 1 and a half an over. And had an LBW decision turned down shortly before the break. England will be looking to bat out the rest of the day, and make sure they have some top order batsmen left to see off the second new ball.

First of all, welcome back Matt.

It was great to see Vaughanie outpace an aggressive batsman like Kevin Pietersen. England definately have the upper hand right now. This partnership has been a great one for England.

Thanks Mick, its good to be back. Kinda glad i never played blic when i bought it now as i may have been bored of that and cricket 2005 by now.

Day 1 Session 3

Pakistan bowled a much better line and length, meaning that i had to block alot more instead of the long hops they were providing in the first few sessions. Vaughan and Pieterson played beautifully and continued to build there huge partnership. Kevin Pieterson reached a deserved half century.
Just before the new ball came, Pakistan brought back both of their opening bowlers, forcing the batsmen onto the backfoot sooner than they would have liked. The first few overs were stoutly defended. However Piterson was to have two lives. Twice Pakistan were caught out by not having enough slip fielders as two nicks went between the keeper and second slip. Was the new ball about to be wasted for the day? Well not entirey. Just four overs from the end, with 5 maidens bowled before this ball, vaughan had a lapse and drove the ball right back into the hands of sami. England sent out Hoggard as night watchmen, to avoid the loss of anymore top order batsmen. Hoggard managed to keep the quicks out untill the end of play. England in a good position now, and will be looking for Hoggard & Pieterson to see off the shine of this new ball.
