Hoggard resist for 40 balls, and eventually holes out to the keeper. But not before he carves a rather strange looking back foot sqaure cut to the fence.

Day 2 Session 1

The fall of Hoggard after some stiff resistance against the Pakistan quicks sparked a mini collapse. Pieterson's fine innings came to an end. Shoaib cleaned him up, it was a very fast ball and Pieterson was done for pace. Giles and Joes both departed quickly. Jones was done for pace outside off, and Giles was just to early on a slow ball from the under performing Ahmed. Pakistan had brought themselves back into the game somewhat. Flintoff the only real batsmen of note left. Unfortunatly someone forgot to tell the bowlers not to bowl short at Freddie. Shoaib kept banging them in, and they kept getting dispatched in what seemed like a personnal jewel. To be fair to Shoaib he kept varying his pace which at times made Flintoff look daft, but its clear who won this duel. England will be hoping to add at least another 50 on to the scorecard, Pakistan will be looking to dismiss the danger man.
