The Championship is the most competitive league, but the Premier is the most exciting. Even though I support a Championship (and soon to be League 1) team, I would watch the Premier over the Championship.

Norwich got Bury at home in the FA Cup 3rd round! We should win that, I was getting worried when there was only a few left in the draw when Ipswich came out as a home game!

You are not the only one, I was just expecting Norwich to follow Ipswich straight out of the pot... and I could see you lot winning, too

Is it just me, or did Kevin Beattie, 9-times an England player, sound Scottish?

I'd like to know how some referees and assistant linesmen pass their tests. Styles and one of his linos were a disgrace last night. Styles first, Ronaldo should have had 2 penalties, the first one when he was pushed from behind inside the box when the ball was coming to him. The second was when he was through one on one against Niemi, and Niemi came under him. Worst of all, the ref ends up booking Ronny. Even Sanchez after the game said he thought Fulham were lucky to get away with that. But thats not it, now on to the lino. I haven't seen how many United offsides there were, but I can guess at way over 10. All of them were in the 2nd half with one particular lino. A lot of them, the United player was level or onside. I don't know if he was trying to become famous or something, but officials like Styles and the lino have contributed to an awful standard of refereeing this season.

Now onto the FA, who's idea was it to have a match between a Manchester and London side on a Monday night. No wonder there was very few Fulham fans there. The attendance was a thousand down and yeah Setanta have made it move to a Monday night, but the FA or the Premier League must have the power to stop that happening.

OK, rant over. It was a decent game, Ronaldo was great, the first goal was brilliant. Rooney played pretty well for his first game back. Back up to 2nd anyway:D

There was little or no contact on Ronaldo, he dived, he's known for it. Good on the referee for spotting it and taking action.

Let's kick diving out of football.

Apparantely the word going round is that he slipped. This makes sense because he was apparantely on a hat-trick so why would he want to dive when he had the chance to get one?

Great point Briggsey. Ronaldo had no need to dive Lee. He would have scored easily if he had stayed on his feet.

I'm not convinced either way though. I don't think it was a dive, but I'm also doubting whether it was a penalty. The fact is, when you have to jump over someone on a greasy night, it's not going to be easy to keep your balance.

To be fair, all 3 of the Setanta pundits said penalty. As did the commentator and summariser. As well as Lawrie Sanchez, Alex Ferguson, Carlos Queiroz and the player himself.

Lee what are you on? Have you even seen the incident? You try running as fast as him with a ball and jumping over a keeper on a wet pitch and see if you can stay on your feet. Not having the sound on because it was in Japanese I assumed he was booked for clapping the ref and not diving.

I saw it on Setanta Sports News this morning, there was no contact, and on a wet night, what are studs for?

If he slipped, fair enough, the referees an idiot, but no doubt if it was a penalty Ronny would have taken it.

Joe Cole and Stevie Gee laaa dive every week but because they are English they are left to get away with it and pundits never mention the fact that they are dirty gay pansies. Yet Ronaldo time and again is made a scapegoat because he's Jonny foreigner. He doesn't dive anymore. He was awful for diving in and around 2003/2004, but he just doesn't do it anymore.

Yeah, I don't like these people that have misconceptions of Ronaldo being a diver. Even the most die-hard United fan will admit he was disgraceful in his first season but he simply just doesn't do it anymore. He's realised that he has so much quality as a footballer that he doesn't need to throw himself on ground like Steven Gerrard.
