Chelsea would bankrupt. Roman hasn't paid for anything at the club. He has used the clubs money and loans in the clubs names. Everyone just calls Chelsea financially safe because Roman could pay it off.

Back on topic - I really can't see Chelsea winning the title this season.

We haven't really made many transfers that stand out apart from Malouda but I think Pizzaro was a great buy on a free. Just struggling to see where he will fit in to the squad though apart from a first team rotational player.

Chelsea have been surprising quiet in the Transfer Market. No really big signings

They've made so very good buys. Just not spent the money.

They don't exactly need to make many signings though. They have some world class players who just weren't very world class last season. If Ballack, Shevchenko and the like fire this year then they will be a hell of a lot better than last season. Having Shevchenko on form next season will be better than buying a new striker for 40 million quid.
