Rooney is over-rated.
He is an absolutely brillliant player. World class, but in this country he is billed as the best there is, which he clearly isn't, Give it five years and a stereotypical striker as his forward line partner and he could well become one of the best ever.

still Englands not what you should base it on and to quote a united song
"You can stick you something England up your arse" :p

Maybe i'm being over critical of Rosicky as he was injured last year but from what i saw I've only ever see him do well in one game. Carrick however i've seen consistently perform and he's done it in the big games too. Shame he couldn't against Milan though but no-one dd apart from Scholes.

Who thinks Rooney is the best there is? I don't see how you can over-rate a 21 year old who scored 23 goals, tore apart Milan in the 1st leg when he was playing out of form and was the premierships top assist maker. Sure he's no-where near the best but he's a bloody good player

yeah bloody good but still over-rated even Man.U fans in ma school say it themselves, like he suppose to be a striker yet he actually misses a simple chance loads of times

He's not really an out an out striker which makes his record even more impressive although it does explain the assists, as has been said before he's got the touch of a rapist which is probably his biggest flaw beause sticking chances away will come with experience. Go on yotube and watch some of his early goals, he scored so many screaers at 16-18 that you can see why he's so hyped up. Problem is he's been hyped up for 5 years and only now are people starting to realise he's not better than Pele, although he is still the white Pele for the purposes of chants :p and with all due respect Hassan your location is Somerset, I doubt their regular match goers :p

doesnt meen that they dont watch the matach Joe :p what are you trying to say..? see people hype up english players sooo much that they arnt really that great thats what i am saying about Rooney

but you do get a much better idea of a player in the stands, providing you've got a good view. I reckon Rooney will be amazing this season, with all the competition at OT he won't want to be forgotten. He probably is overhyped, more by England fasn who want him to win us a world cup but he's still up their with the best. According to gabriel Marcotti he's the 11th best player in the world :p

depends what he means by 11th in the world like strikers or all of them. well atleast you get my point about english people over-rating Rooney

Some over-rate him although you can see why, Gabriel Marcotti however is an Italian American who said he was the 11th best in the world out of everyone, all types. The list was poo though because Terry wasn't in the top 50 and Sergio Ramos was 1 place behind Henry!

Rooney is a terrific young player who, when he reaches his prime, will become one of the best in the world. He has quite a way to go, but he'll get there...

It's a good thing that Utd buy English players, even if they are expensive. As for anyone comparing us with Chelsea: We earned the right to spend money by our youth policy, bringing people like Beckham, Scholes, Giggs et all through. We spend our own money, money that players like those I've mentioned above made for us. Whose money do you spend, Chelski? Money you made, or money you lucked out on?

Enjoy trying to win the title back this year, eh guys?

If Chelskov don't the Prem, FA Cup or CL this season, Roman Numerals will leave hopefully, Chelsea will be in debt, they will have to file for Bankruptcy, they will lose all their players and their coach and Cashley Cole will be forced to beg on the street after being sued for millions for being such a greedy prat.

One can dream...
