I was talking about the past initially because i was saying how not scoring doesn't fit in with uniteds traditions compared to other big clubs.

It's irrelevant how teams used to play as the players are different.

5 Years ago Leeds played some ridiculously attractive Football why would/should it have a bearing on them now?

Tkae off the United tinted glasses.

Yeah and replace them with Everton ones. We are top of the league until saturday so you can all suck my router.

no its not because it says a lot about the traditions of the club and what it stands for. its part of the history of the club so unless the history means nothing to you then its not irrelevant. Its not irrelevant ot how united play because Sir Alex tries to uphold these values but this season he's not doing it very well. It most certainly isn't irrelevant.

I'm not talking about Leeds

It is irrelevant as the way you used to play has no effect on the way you play now.

yes it does because the way we used to play is the way Sir Alex says he is trying to keep us playing and I was saying how he's not managing that.

Plus Liverpool didn't really play boring football in the 70's and 80's...especialy with players like King Kenny, Keegan and Rush. Ask Kev really, hes named after most of the players :p

But that's Man U and only Man U.

How you played or want to play doesn't dictate others' styles of play.

On a completely related note i'm named after Stanley Matthews for some warped reason. My parents mustn't have grasped the difference between first and second names and the addition of an 's'.

Well from what i've heard it wasn't that bad but it was never that exciting or of the same faster paced football played by united generally throughout their history.

It dictates our style of play though, maybe there wasn't a need for a comparison with other clubs but the point is other sides are playing better football, with what would seem less talent, whilst Fergie says he wants us to but we're not.

Who have a game in hand...
Lol, yeah I knew that, hence the still:p.

Why do Liverpool always have a game in hand? :p
Because they can never qualify for the CL automatically:p.

Arsenal boring?! Liverpool boring?!

Both games they played at the weekend were fine examples of good entertaining football. Even Chelsea managed to entertain briefly on Sunday.
I agree with you part of the way, Arsenal do play some cracking football when in free flow. However, I would hardly call the Villa vs Liverpool game on Saturday a fine example of fine good entertaining football. Liverpool are really not easy on the eye and they do not play great entertaining football a la United and Arsenal.

It is quite scratchy sometimes, especialy away from home. But its still aggresive and attacking. Boring football is Bolton or Portsmouth when they play away (effective though).

Another game. same result. Same reason. No striker on the bench! Surely we have striker somewhere, when that pile of crap eagles can get on the bench there has to be someone who can hit the target. And Ronaldo been an idiot. Sell him! :p

Bit extreme, selling our best player? Also, remember that at around eight years ago (1999) we drew our first two games and ended the season with....The Treble!!
