Lol how can you call him a flop already? He's not played nowhere near enough games yet. I don't blame Rafa for what's happening. What can he do? Johnson, Torres, Gerrard, Benayoun and Riera (i think) are all injured. Rodriguez and Aquilani aren't fully fit. He's made good signings with the money he has but hasn't got enough to add more depth to the squad. Liverpool played well yesterday but it was the players' fault for conceding that goal. Poor defending cost them.

A half fit Rodriquez > Degen in midfield. But you're right. The defending was shocking. I can't believe none of our defenders were alert to the threat of Huth!

Oh well. Thats in the past. If we can somehow beat Tottenham, we will be damn close to the top 4. Tottenham and Aston Villa drawing as well as Man City losing was awesome for us.

Aquiliani has been fit for a couple of months and yet he's played only 4 Premier League games all as a sub. Rafa cannot afford to pay ?20mil for him and then leave him on the bench. Although Lucas played fairly well yesterday he isn't a good enough player to dominate a game in the Premier League. Aquiliani needs to start starting games, otherwise this will just get worse for Liverpool.

Luckily Villa, Tottenham and Man City all dropped points as well so they aren't any worse off than before.

More rumours abound about a 1.2bn takeover of Man Utd by Middle Eastern businessmen, after the Glaziers tried to attract Middle Eastern investment. Only Sunday Express though - I won't actually believe it until it appears in one of the broadsheet type serious papers, or on SSN.

So, 2-1 to City, thanks to the referee. City's goal was never a penalty - the foul happened a fair distance outside of the box. Still, our defending was terrible: we need Vidic/Ferdinand back ASAP - City may have got more. We can definitely turn this round at Old Trafford. As for Tevez, letting him go was a bad, bad decision - but then again, we already knew that. Overall, the performance wasn't good tonight - only Rooney looked up for it.

Oh the taste of sweet revenge is great for Tevez. What a way to show your former club what they could've have.

Rooney was absolutely gun. Should've scored like a million times. But he wasn't as gun as Given was. Damn, best signing ever!11!!!!!1!!!!

Letting Tevez go was a great decision. ?25 million in the debt were in now?

We offered him a contract. Would have been one of the best payed players at Old Trafford. City offered him more. Tevez went for money, not anything else.

As far as the performance goes, I thought we were better than City, yet not anywhere near our best. Valencia is looking good, Anderson needs a run in the team and Carrick needs to step up in a big game for once. Last night was the first time for ages that I've seen Rooney run at a defence. He was brilliant.

If we can get and keep Rio and Vidic fit, we have a chance of winning things this season. Wes Brown and Evans don't work. Evans especially doesn't seem to have any positional sense, which is vital for a centre back.

?25m for Tevez, or ?30m for Berba? I rest my case.

No way I'd have that money grabbing, lying, disrespecting fool at our club.

And why bring Berbatov into it? :facepalm

Simple. Berbatov cost ?30m and has by and large been a failure. Tevez would've cost less and is by far a better player - and now he's added regular goal scoring to his game as well. Had we still had Tevez, we would've won 3-0 yesterday.

I agree with you 100% there. Problem is, that happened the season before Ferguson was hit with the refinacing stuff.

Yeps - we need to be shot of the Window Glaziers as soon as possible. Hopefully they'll soon find the Middle Eastern 'investment' they're looking for and can sod off back to the States to involve themselves in sports they have a clue about. And then all the City fans can shut the hell up as well.

Unfortunatley, as we are seeing with Pompey, Middle Eastern investment can be a bad thing. We should have tighter rules with who can buy a club like in US Sport. A far better system there. But, the FA can't do that because they will be taken to a human rights court if they try to change a rule.

I don't think the Glaziers did intend to come to United and bleed it dry. I think the recession (as with a lot of people) hindered all long term plans for them. With the debts now agianst United - Whose going to pay $1billion to get us out of this?

And had Berbatov played, it's unlikely we would have lost, his only defeat this season coming at Anfield.

We gave Tevez the opportunity to play regular CL football, challenge for the title etc.

If he wants to go elsewhere because of money then screw him.

I'd rather get support someone like Berba who hasn't complained when being benched and has always respected the club than that liar.
