I don't think Nasri or Cesc will be at all regretful about leaving now.

I don't think I've seen a more comprehensive demolition job on a team since the 9-0 Ipswich job. What an unbelievable display by the boys - and it could've been more.

I 8-2 break it to Arsenal fans, but I don't see them winning the title this year

----------

I'm not one to normally jump on bandwagon's or start calling for peoples head but Arsene has to take the blame for how they've started. I really think he could be sacked very soon if he doesn't get himself together, especially if he isn't spending money despite it being made available to him.

As for his tactics, they were just odd and extremely naive.

That was class, Themer. :lol :lol :lol

After growing up seeing Arsenal do so well, i cant help feel sorry for Wenger. But then again he hasn't helped himself with the purchases he has bought to replace Fabregas, Nasri and Clichy.

Why hasn't he gotten Chris Samba, Shay Given, Leighton Baines (although i admit he would have been a hard purchase) and Scott Parker is baffling.

You do realize that Szczesny was probably one of the bright spots in that game for Arsenal, right? He's a good keeper. He's just got that one mistake of the Carling Cup Final hanging over his head.

Too early to say regardless of his good early season start whether he is "good" or "bad", the same way its too early to judge De Gea based on his nervy start for United.

An older keeper is always preferable in football, since the security he brings is as important as having a striker who can bang in 25+ goals every season.

Plus for a man like Wenger who is always skeptical about players prices being inflated, the fact that Villa got Given one of the best keepers in the league for under 5 millions, shows what Wenger missed.

BBC well respected pundit Mark Lawrenson said as much recently:

Exclusive Mark Lawrenson Q&A: Where Arsenal Are Going Wrong, How To Clean Up FIFA, Premier League Predictions, How He Would Change Football And Much Much More | CaughtOffside

quote said:
I can?t understand why Arsenal didn?t get Shay Given for ?4m. (Wojciech) Szczesny will be a really good goalkeeper but he will make some mistakes. Go get Given and Szczesny can watch Given train and see how he plays and just bring him on. For ?4m it is a no-brainer.

Beat me to it Themer. There are some more ones on fb:

Go find your nearest Arsenal fan. Hug them tightly, whisper into their ear: "Everything's going to be OK," even though you know it's not.

What City can do, United can do better.
What Spurs can do, Arsenal can do better.

Fantastic game. Hopefully Wenger realizes this squad is just not enough, and magically gets few decent players before the end of the month
