Well, that wasn't surprising - a flogging for Swansea - it was always going to end that way. What a start for them; welcome to the Premier League, Swans. Wait and see what you'll get at Old Trafford. :D ;)

Aguero is the perfect player to get the best out of Dzeko. Seeing Silva and Aguero link up was also very promising. Obviously Aguero is a brilliant player but what a debut!

Feel sorry for Vorm though, who made some excellent saves.

I love that Balotelli added "City" underneath it with a marker pen haha.

In the wake of last week's riots, Man City players wore "I (heart) MCR" shirts ahead of their first match of the season at home against Swansea City on Monday night. Mario Balotelli recently made it clear that he does not heart Manchester, though. He told Sky Sports Italia (via the Manchester Evening News):

"I'm not happy in Manchester, I don't like the city," he said.
"Everything's okay with the coach and my team-mates, but the city is not to my taste.
"Do I miss Milan? No, I miss my home, Brescia. I miss my family and friends. I can think of this experience as one of personal growth."

So, for Mario to wear an I love Manchester shirt would be dishonest and if there's one thing Mario isn't, it's dishonest. Instead of refusing to wear the shirt, though, he got creative with it. Using a blue pen, he added the word "City" under the "MCR." A nice touch from Mario. Yet the most amazing part of this is that he he was able to put the shirt on without confusing himself unlike that blasted bib.

Kun Aguero, meanwhile, left his shirt in its original state and ended up scoring two goals after coming on for the final half hour of City's 4-0 win. According to some of the more excitable corners of the media, he is now the greatest player of all time.

:lol

A very very fortunate win for Liverpool at the Emirates. They only looked like scoring once Arsenal went down to 10-man and Suarez was brought on. A draw would have been a fairer result as neither side looked like scoring IMO.

Liverpool played a far better game than Arsenal IMO. RVP really should have scored one, while we made the most of our chances. And hail our double substitutes in Suarez and Meireles - the latter just showed how important a player he's to the club! A couple of illogical results so far for Pool, but I'll take that anyday.

We're top at least for the next one and a half hours! Will relish this moment! :D

I thought both teams were quite poor, tbh. The game only really opened up when Frimpong went off and Suarez came off the bench.

Relieved to get the win but problem within the squad is still pretty obvious!

Random but I nearly exploded when Long capitalized on Alex's mistake to score the goal for West Brom because at that time, I was playing the Champions League final with Chelsea on FM11 against Arsenal. Then, about the same time West Brom got their goal, a silly player of mine dwelled on the ball for far too long, got robbed and Arsenal went to the other end and scored! Seeing two mistakes like that right in front of me at about the same time was really a complete facepalming moment! :mad

:lol

Btw, this day just keeps getting better for me with Everton losing at Goodison Park to newly promoted QPR! First, the all dominant show from the England cricket team, then Liverpool and now this.

Regarding Arsenal, they could potentially be 8 points behind United by the end of next week IF United beat Spurs and them in the next two league games!

That was a close one for your boys today - a very shaky start to the season indeed!

That first Liverpool goal should be used in 'what happened next' moments. It was so jammy!

while we made the most of our chances

You're kidding, I hope.. You got lucky, just by Arsenal scoring an own goal, that's not making the most of your chances. And then Arsenal just tried to get an equaliser and Suarez's goal was easy, nothing great about it. 0-0 would have been a fair result.

Can anyone here confirm whether Emmauel Frimpong wants to play for England or Ghana senior team?
