I'm not surprised by that, I was expecting Chelsea to drop points in this one: 0-0. Now if we can win, we start off with a two point gap after the first round of games. :) Better news for Chelsea fans is that Torres is looking much more with it now.

Quite worrying how many misplaced passes into the box occurred. Kalou and Torres (though he was ample in his chances given, he still continues his goal scarcity) offending on multiple occasions. Begovic was beast but we're still lacking creativity to which I would've liked to see McEachran get a run, hopefully next game against West Brom.

Interestingly enough Benayoun came on for Torres, shifting Drogba and Anelka upfront in a possible 4-4-1-2/4-4-2 formation.

Utd looking very good in all areas apart from the keeper - he has definitely not settled yet and is looking very shaky. He should definitely have saved that goal. Still, we have more than enough to beat these in the second half. :)

Vidic off - I hope he hasn't picked up a bad knock.

Edit: Rio off as well - looks like a hamstring. :facepalm

All over 2-1 to Utd - great start to the season. :)

Always saw this coming - the passion and never say never attitude of Utd's!
And guess what? We're travelling to the Emirates next up! >_<

Very interesting read. It's great to know about the actual mechanics of the tactics of managers.

Rio out again, sadly I think it'll be his last season and Smalling will be ahead of him before the end of it. Some great link up play again, Young fitting in very well. Nani frustrating as ever with his inability to look up for a pass - when he decides on something he just goes for that and doesn't look around for a better option.

I think Utd still definitely need a creative centre mid still - not Sneijder though. Chelsea going for Modric and Utd going for Sneijder just seems so strange as both teams would be better off going for the other player.

Meh! A draw away at Stoke in the first game is not worst result but we had about 2-3 penalties turned out with 1 of them looking very legitimate! But otherwise, the same problem from last season is still there - the lack of creativity from midfield.

That and there's also Sunderland vs Newcastle and Man United vs Tottenham. How lovely! :lol

How Kalou is still at the club really baffles me!

I am disappointed we are hosting Tottenham and Arsenal this month, when I am not in Manchester :(

Would have definetly gone for one of the games.

So, Man City get underway tonight - can anyone see anything other than a flogging of Swansea?

Oh and don't you think City's new players are trying too hard with those 'I love Manchester' T-shirts? Who do you think you're kidding guys? You love City's ? and $ - nothing to do with the City or the club itself.
