Betcha' Cass wrote that one down for his next article.
What a game. Halftime I didnt really see a way out, but we have shown we still our the number 1 team in Manchester (and England). Cleverley or whatever his name is, very lively in the midfield, and Nani and Young were great at the flanks. City just had no answer.
De Gea still has alot to learn but he did start showing signs of his potential in the second half.
Cleverly looks like a very good young player - Sir Alex might have done it yet again - and Young looked very sharp and lively, I think he'll be a great addition to the squad.
Well he was played out wide, rather than in his usual central role, at the U-21 Euros.Cleverly didn't look too special in the Under 21 championship i must say, but yep early evidence suggest it could be another master-stroke young talent spotted. No wonder he seems to not be all that fussed about getting Sneijder ha..

That's so sad...
I was looking forward to the first week of the Premier League, but it seems like that is not going to happen with all the riots happening. They started in London and they have extended to cities like Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester.
Also isn't better to create an 'English Football Thread 2011/2012' thread?
