If you think its a pen i don't think you can book the player no matter how theatrical he makes it. league cup tonight, I'm looking forward to seeing Jay-Jay destroy chelsea tomorrow or Hull, Liverpool-Reading has been quite good, tonight however i want to se Newcastle win, Up the Toon!

Oh my god, I just heard the ultimate evidence on commentators being biased towards the scousers or just a shocking piece of commentary
Comm: Thats a penalty and it deserves to be a penalty because of his ability.

Erm does that mean crap players can't have penaltys?

lol, i'm guessing that was when torres went on a run and was pushed...was it a pen? the screen turned off as soon as it happened.

good result, class showed in the end. torres better play saturday.

You can't book a player if he was fouled, otherwise it's not simulation is it? @Hooper, masterblaster, etc.

If Torres doesn't play on Saturday then Benitez wants slapping. a) for denting Liverpool's title chances and more importantly b) RUINING MY FANTASY FOOTBALL TEAM!!!

Manchester City beat Norwich by a late goal to knock us out of the League Cup. Apparently, we were the better team for most, if not all, of the match.

Peter Grant and the players will probably make excuses like we didn't disgrace ourselves or we were the better team, but the fact of the matter is, we didn't win.

It should have been a pen to be fair, the referee made a mistake there.

Utd vs Coventry tonight, it's actually quite strange that we're going to get 76 thousand for a Carling Cup game, especially considering Chelski struggled to a gate of 24 thousand for a Champions League game. We should win, but its the type of game that you don't know whats gonna happen if we play the kids. Apparently, Rooney, Saha and Hargreaves might play so that should be entertaining.

Lee, you can't fault your team, they came up against a Premiership team and did well, if anything you should be proud of the players.

Some of those Norwich players were involved in the season in which we beat Manchester United and Newcastle!

It was a lapse in concentration that lead to the goal. If only they could have held on for just four more minutes until extra time.

It was a pen, it was more the reasons the commentator gave for it but a free kick should have been given before they were in the box for pushing him and then he carried on pushing him in the box

Ok, the reading defenders were dirty all night really as soon as torres/crouch got the ball they were being fouled.

Awaits to see who the first Manc is to say 'It's only the Carling Cup' just because they've been knocked out.

It's only the carling cup :p

We don't have a squad the same quality as the other sides, i feel they should have played Saha though. the weird thing is i'm not that bothered, a little embarassed but not that bothered. I was dissapointed that Evans didn't play well because he's meant to be one of the few who can make into the united first team in the future, Nani dissapointed too but i guess you can't expect 1 player to make a team whilst Anderson stll needs a bit more football forthe first team since his broken leg I reckon. Oh well gives an advantage over the other 4!

i went to the match and i wouldnt say norwich were the better side. neither side could be describe as the better side, it was a dull game. we played a lot of back up players and played in a way to stop you scoring.

also, well done coventry, no excuse for man utd, they were at home with an extreamly expensive team on the pitch (nani 17mill, anderson 17mill, carrick 18 mill)
