Yeah, it was more like a 4-2-3-1 but without a permanent left winger, since Welbeck and Kagawa drifted infield, hence why Cleverley was in acres of space for the first goal.

Ye that probably was it, since i wasn't even sure what was going on on the left-side either ha.

No ordinary Joe but we may have expected far too much from Cole | Daniel Taylor | Football | The Observer

While i wouldn't say Cole career has been a failure - but its obvious if he had reached the heights everyone had wanted - he wouldn't be back at west ham today.

Ever since he had that injury @ chelsea during the middle of the 2008 season, things have gone downhill for him. Maybe West Ham will give him play the attacking mid-field role, since i've always felt he was wasted as winger (although he did it competently especially for england).

skysports said united started with a 3-5-2 formation today something like:

de gea

smalling----vidic-----evans

rafael-----scholes--cleverley------buttner

----------------kagawa----------------

----------welbeck------hernandez---------

But the way smalling was bombing forward on the right, i wasn't really sure if this really was the case.

It looked like some kind of free-form diamond to me. Eventually Rafael and Cleverley were playing as shutters in central midfield for Kagawa and Scholes.

So the cheating git Suarez has been at it again then. What is it with these Southern American players and their tendency to use their hands in open play during a football match?

Going back to yesterday - what a goal by RvP; seems to be getting a habit to say that! The ball by Giggsy was world class and the finish - when the guy gets in the box, you just have no doubts he'll score! West Ham have had their chance - we'll finish 'em at Old Trafford.

I didn't see the goal, but by the sounds of it a big deal is being made only because it's Suarez.

I remember Peter Crouch's 'basketball goal' from earlier in the season, no-one cared really, except Mancini.

Yeah, that is the main issue. And Klose's disallowed goal too makes this over-hyped.

This.

Not a single Liverpool fan denied it was a handball or that Mansfield were extremely unlucky, but to label Suarez a cheat for the same, when it was clearly unintentional? That's just not fair.

And seen some muppets accusing him on social networking sites for kissing his forearm during his already mute celebration following yesterday's goal - that is precisely how he's celebrated every single goal this season! Had nothing to do with yesterday's handball incident!

This's a brilliant read for the same:

Didn't demba ba score a hand-ball goal earlier this season as well?

Yeah I'm pretty sure he did.

On the topic of handballs, I've always been curious. Has anyone seen a volleyball like goal where the ball is spiked into the net with the hand? That would be something to behold:p.
