Who will win the Premiership?

Good performance, another grinded result, we didn't completely outplay them as the scoreline would suggest but relied on four moments of brilliance. That's just the start though - Cazorla was clearly not match fit and Ramsey didn't start probably since he was fatigued. Once we get a stronger bench with Ox and Podolski etc. we will have the squad strength as well. We have four huge games in the next few weeks, Dortmund home and away, Liverpool at home and Man Utd away. I'd say we're big favourites for all except maybe Dortmund away. I look forward to the Man Utd game especially, we will hand their arses to them.

Man Utd looking like they'll have a struggle on their hands to secure Europa League football. I do like how Evans, Nani and Januzaj are being given proper chances though, and while Fellaini isn't good enough, he is better than Cleverley and especially Anderson by far.

Liverpool got really lucky in that game, they're lucky Yanga-M'Biwa is a complete donkey. Like a young Titus Bramble. Looks like they'll rely completely on their two world class forwards to take them places. I think they look a lot like Man Utd from last season, they can definitely finish top four IMO and can challenge for the title for a few more months I think though they'll be out of it by the end.

Didn't see the Chelsea match but it seemed a straightforward performance, with Hazard finally back on form. Disappointing to see Cardiff falling away, they have a solid squad to avoid relegation but have been destroyed in pretty much all their games except Man City.

The top four looks very familiar, that's how I think it will end. At this rate Southampton and Everton could be in with a real shout for the Europa League place ahead of Spurs and Man Utd.

Hate to say it but the goooners are looking pretty tasty

I remembered something from back in the day so had a quick search and found it. Back in July 2012.

The team is a few signings away from a title challenging team. Plus, I'll repeat, it's a young squad, so the team will improve. A title challenge is very possible within the next 3-4 seasons.

:facepalm Dream on.

It's the worst Arsenal squad i can ever remember,

You have one world class player in RVP, and tbh i think he is a tad over rated, only one real great season, and it looks like he is gone anyway.

So how many other players at Arsenal would get in the City, Utd, Chelsea team??

Whilshre and Chamberlain have potential but the rest,, no chance.

Your best players leave for a reason, they realise that there is no chance of medals

I agree with Lee for once.

We have added two world class players in Ramsey and ?zil as well as a top class player in Cazorla, and have lost a world class player in van Persie. So we needed less than a '"few signings" and it has happened sooner than "within the next 3-4 seasons." So I was right but overestimated what we needed.

Seriously this media brainwashing is ridiculous, I remember back then we were heralded as possible relegation battlers both at the start of 11/12 and 12/13, so I guess the fans can't be blamed for believing those things.

Damn like Gareth Bale, i wish Ramsey was born English instead of Welsh - what form he is in now.

I was thinking, what if they actually become somewhat decent now? They have Ramsey and Bale, as well as other promising youngsters like Allen and IMO one of the best LBs in the league in Ben Davies. With a few more players emerging this could be one of the best Welsh teams in a long time, maybe they have a chance of qualifying for a major tournament over the next ten years.

Can't remember exactly where I read it, but there were definitely suggestions, and from better sources than these ones from a random football forum and Bleacher Report which I found in a quick Google search. They particularly liked to hang onto how after 5 or 6 games it was our worst start ever to a Premier League season in 11/12 and how we had let in a ridiculous amount of goals (mainly due to our 3rd XI losing 8-2 to Man Utd), then in 12/13 how it was our worst start to a Premier League season after 8 or 9 games. So I guess by that logic Man Utd will be relegated this season.

Ye indeed, potentially this could be one of the best Welsh teams in a while. Bellamy is gone & James Collins don't have long left, so they will need a striker & defender emerging soon to complement what they already have.

But ha since i was a kid, i always wished if FIFA never granted Wales international status, similarly to how they never allowed Catalonia to have a national team separate from Spain.

@Don

Your acting like a bit of an arrogant twat tbh

I was actually holding my hands up and saying fair play that your lot are looking the real deal "right now"

Let's see how confident you are come March time, then we will see, and all this bashing of utd comes back to bite you,

Haha can't argue with that but coming out with rubbish like "keep dreaming" to a reasonable suggestion deserves to be called out.

We will certainly see in a few months.

The problem with Man U is that fortress old Trafford has lost it's ''fear factor''. Teams don't turn up and park the bus anymore, they press high up and take the game to united. It's a joy to watch.

There's hardly much noise around those parts these days.

Moral of the story is actually buy a good backup and not Demichelis.

Really can't see City getting anything out of the game tbh. Was going to be hard even with Kompany.

Or just play Richards at RCB when Kompany's out, why Pellegrini's so adamant on Garcia at the back is just beyond me.
