Which team will perform beyond expectations this season?

Taylor's goal was nothing special, it was practically on a plate for him. It was a cracking finish but come on, anyone who couldn't hit that needs shooting. Pedersen's for Blackburn was special; 35 yards and screamed it in when the ball was on the floor. Quality goal.

Surely you guys are taking the urine? Hitting a volley is never an easy skill, especially from 42 metres away! Keeper was only just off his line, it wasn't like he was wondering around outside his penalty box.

It was on the dip though Puddle; He didn't even need to hit it hard and it would have been a good effort on goal. His one against Sunderland was hardher because the ball was on the up and at an awkward height. I play football and i'm sure you do too, and I just think that when the ball is dipping like that, it's easy to direct it at goal.

gonzlez's free-kick was quite good, so too was Kanu's volley, and pedesen's goal. Trabelsi's was very powerfuly hit, Van der Sar stood no chance

Yeah it could have been harder, but from 42 metres, to see the keeper where he is, have the confidence to pull it off, and then the technique to execute it. Fabulous strike. If it was that easy, then you'd see goals like that every week! The dip on the ball was phenomenal, fair enough if you don't think it was a stunner, but I think you are slightly underestimating how hard that is to pull off well. Just because he made it look easy, in no way means it was. And yes I played football, although haven't played for a few years competitively and I do miss it.

I don't mean to underestimate the goal at all; It was a sizzler. I just don't think it's goal of the season. I actually prefer Pedersen's yesterday, Tugay's volley a few weeks ago, Arteta's goal against Bolton and Agger's goal at Anfield early in the season. Now Tugay's volley, that takes pure skill. Being closed down by defenders and the ball coming back at quite a pace, to hit it sweetly like he did with his knee over the ball was quite remarkable.

And just out of interest, my favourite goal ever was Trevor Sinclair's overhead kick for QPR ages ago; How the hell did he even do that?!

Don't know, and I saw it live! That years QPR season review is one of the most amazing ever, it's packed with absolutely stunning goals. The Sinclair one is obviously the best, but there's also a quality Dichio volley from 35 yards, as well as a couple of other stunners.

Lawro said the opposite that.

Hitting on the half volley is easier than on the volley which it is.

Taylors goal was an unbelievable strike, saying anything less is silly.

Yes as i've said it's an unbelievable strike, i'm just ridiculing these goal of the season claims for it; I've seen plenty of better goals in the premiersip already.

And Lawro's an idiot, he carries a certain bias against teams that I will keep nameless. It's a bit childish really.

I won't keep them nameless :p

He's biased against Newcastle becuase we sacked him as a defence coach.

And biased against Everton cos he's a Liverpool fanboy.

It was key that we kept chealsea scoreless in the first half...But we'll need to cut out some of the comical stuff-ups at the back, and not rely on the attacking long-ball from the keeper!

Lehmann is having a stinker today. I have a feeling Chelsea's breakthrough could come at the hands of a blunder on his behalf.

Fantastic game for the neautral; Flamini's deft touch to deflect it on the post right at the end stopped a certain goal. Essien's goal was quality; Another one that was better than Taylor's. :p
