YES! We're so close! Justice was done on that penalty as it never shoul have been gien. That save will be a real confidence boost for Van Der Sar. I'm not fussed whether arseholes win it for us or we have to do it at Chelsea. Well done Van Der Sar for gettng his shirt into the crowd despite the best efforts of the scummy city stewards! :) :) :) If only we'd had this defence against Milan. Don't think it would have been worth risking Rio though. So even Van Der Sar comes good in the end. Sums up our season tbh! Bring on Chelsea with us having a days advantage ;)

be nice or we'll throw the game

Just how much do some of you Arsenal fans actually know about football, I don't mean you Will. Some people are excusing a 4-1 defeat to them in the league with a 6-3 win over them in an almost reserve cup game. Then saying United haven't scored that many this season, absolutely deluded you Arsenal fans, completely deluded. Again I dont mean you Will, you know what its about.

That really should be it for the Championship:D We've grinded out a win today in almost Chelsea fashion. I was in anger when the penalty was given, especially as Ball shouldn't have been on the pitch. Horrible play from him, thats just not the kinda thing you want in football. It was cowardice, cynical and just a horrendous piece of play. It didn't stop him either. He was on a one man vendetta against Ronaldo and was trying to injure him. Dirty, dirty player.

Anyhow, brilliant from VDS to save it, shouldn't have been a pen anyway, Ball, moved his leg towards Brown while Brown actually tried to get away from Ball's leg.

Anyone see what happened at the final whistle, absolutely ridiculous from the stewards. The United players just wanted to throw their shirts into the crowd and the stewards stopped them getting past. Good on Van Der Sar, for running past the steward and throwing it into the side. Teach the city-loving bitter stewards a lesson.

Interesting goings on in the relegation battle today. West Ham storming to a 3-0 lead, Fulham, Charlton, Sheffield United and Wigan will not be happy if they stay up.

I'm sure the Bristol City fans on here will be happy... :p

come on fulham! yeah those stewards were gay just like everything else associated with manchester city :p Will i don't mind if you throw it although i would be curious to see whether chelsea do a guard of honour for us!

To be fair, that 6-3 was in a reserve type match but those players are the future of Arsenal and the future looks bright. :D

Everton are on their way to Europe.

Even if we beat Chelsea 1-0, Mourinho will complain about our defensive tactics.

Fulham have just scored against Liverpool. Heaven knows how much of a force Liverpool would be if they could convert their almost permanently brilliant Champions League form into Premiership form.

It's dissapointing for an Arsenal for their season to be defined by:

- Their poor start to the season
- Their record against the 'smaller', more physical teams. It seems as though the higher up a team is in the table, the better we perform against them. We couldn't buy a win against Bolton (not saying that we tried to :p) and now that they are fighting for a place in Europe, they seem very beatable.
- That fortnight in March

Yes! Fulham 1 - 0 Liverpool

Same, we gave them a guard of honour two years ago. I doubt it Maureen will do it for us though.

I saw Sky Sports News reporting about Boston United's relegation and financial troubles recently, they said they had to beat Wrexham in the final match of the season to stay in the football league, and they have lost! Chris Llewellyn, who used to play for Norwich, did the job for Wrexham!

It doesn't matter who you take the points off its how many you get at the end of the day and Arsenal haven't got enough

I know, but if you don't collect points off the teams you are expected to get points off, then you are missing a big opportunity for 'easy' points.

If we had wanted to win, we would of.

Reina, Arbeloa, Hyypia, Paletta, Insua, Pennant, Alonso, Sissoko, Gonzalez, Fowler, Bellamy. Subs - Padelli, El Zhar, Kewell, Hobbs, Finnan.

For the Champions league final, or an important game, the ones in bold would be no way near the squad. And the ones in italic wouldn't start either.

Not really bothered about the result today, Benitez seemed the same way aswell. Kewell is back which is probably more important :D

Ah the excuses card have come out, how did I know that was going to happen. West Ham have done the double over you and you haven't scored one past them so walk before you run.
Personally i wonder if United Fans are as Arrogant in real life as they seem on this thread?I wouldn't call that an excuse, just the truth. If our finishing was better we would have slaughtered WHU.I suppose you watched the enitre match, not just the highlights. Anyway,as i've said before tonight it's going to be exceedigly difficult against chelski, and with MAN U about to claim the title it's definitely going to be mixed feelings if we claim a point off Chelski.
