Europa Cup V draft
- The draft can start immediately.
- Each squad has a minimum requirement of 11 locals and 2 Englishmen. The remaining 5 spots can be used to sign overseas players or extra Englishmen and local players, thus totalling 18 players per squad. And just FYI, European players foreign to your franchise's country of origin can also be picked as overseas players. Happy poaching!
- Players classified as locals must be from the country of your franchise's origin. Just to be clear for Stormont, Clontarf, Malahide the country of origin is Ireland; Scotland for the Highlanders and Edinburgh; Netherlands for Amsterdam and Hague; and 'Other European Countries' for Continental United as classified in the player list, which can be found here.
- Players outside of the Europa Cup player list are generally considered invalid for selection. However, locals that haven't originally been included in the player list could still be selected after consultation with me. The same will not apply for overseas players and Englishmen not already included in the player list.
- Managers are only allowed to change their picks for a particular round if that round is still ongoing. Once the draft moves on to the next round, their picks will be made final.
- If 24 hours have passed since the start of a particular round, managers may move on to the next one. However, if all the participating managers have picked their players in a particular round before 24 hours have elapsed since the start of the round, the next round can be started immediately.
- Some teams have a bye in certain rounds of the draft, as a result of having already retained a number of players in their squad from the previous season.
- For reference, the minimum requirements in a lineup during the Europa Cup V tournament shall be 6 locals. The remainder of the lineup may consist of any players of a manager's own choosing.
- For those interested, the all-time career stats for every player to have ever participated in the Europa Cup have been updated on this post. Active players with good Europa Cup career records can be considered valuable to possess in a squad.
- Using the CTRL+F search bar while picking your players can prove extremely useful if you're trying to find out whether a player has been picked or not. So long as you spell his name right.
- Managers can always approach me if they need any help with the selection of local players. The Englishmen and overseas players are a lot simpler to deal with, so I won't be helping out much with those.
