FA Cup

Nice start for Lehmann in goal :p. United have been fantastic though, Nani is awesome, and Rooney looks to be back to his old self, like he was at Everton. United have changed his play, when he was at Everton, everytime he got the ball he'd turn, run at the defence and make things happen, he doesn't do that anymore. He certainly has improved tonight though, what a start. 3-0 United. Love it.

This is terrible watching.

I'll just concentrate on the defence. The gap in class between Clichy/Sagna and Hoyte/Traore is immense. These two full-backs have given us no support whatsoever! Traore has been poor in his positioning and Fletcher is toying with him. Fletcher!?

Why was Hoyte marking Rooney? He's poor in the air. He has been Nani's bitch down the right hand side. He's not fast enough, strong enough, he's poor in the air and he has not done his job.

Toure and Gallas have not worked together. If one of the plays the off-side trap, the other stays back, allowing Rooney to run through.

Lehmann was poor in that first goal. He should have anticipated that header. It wasn't travelling that quickly. To be fair, the second header was deflected and he has come out of his box well. Plus, Nani's goal was bobbling slightly so he can't really be blamed for diving over it.

Now, onto the midfield. Fabregas has been poor defensively. He could have done better in his challenge for the header against Anderson. Then, he gives the ball away to Rooney (who I thought had handballed it) and fails to track Fletcher properly.

Hleb has not been himself. The state of the pitch has played to this slightly. He can move the ball smoothly and when he passes the ball to Traore on the left, he messes up.

Eboue's been non-existant and Gilberto is not doing the job Flamini has been doing. He looked immobile and his passes have been sloppy. He's not looked strong at all.

Eduardo has ben our best player. He's looked the most attacking, trying tolink up with Fabregas and Bendtner. If he got more support, he could get a goal.

Bendtner's been brilliant in the air but he's getting no support.

Nani has been fantastic down the wing. Man U have outplayed us completely but I don't need the commentators saying every 3 minutes 'Arsenal's passing has been poor' or 'They haven't been themselves'. We bloody know. They do this every match we haven't been at our absolute best.

Anderson has been instrumental and so has Carrick with their linking up with Rooney, who has been by far the best plyer on the pitch. Absolutely brilliant pace, runs, control and he should have got a goal.

I'll be estatic if it ends 3-2.

At least I can take solace in Liverpool's defeat.

get in there 4-0 fletcher is awesome
i dont care what happens tonight now 4-0

So you reckon the Gooners will come to OT and win? Dream on!!!!!!!! :p

Well, looks like I was right, lads! What a wonderful day for Utd. Giving the Arses a right good flogging and our friends at Anfield being dumped out by Barnsley!

All fellow Utd fans, take a deep breath! And 2,3,4:

Yes, we shall. Yes, we shall.

We've been caught on a day when we had to lose and they had to win. Simple.

I won't complain about the players out because we can't talk about how good our back up is and then complain when they put in a performance like this and lose. We were by no means playing our weakest side. This team is capable of so much more and had Man U not played so poorly at City, we could have beaten them.

The second goal killed the game off. There was no coming back. I will say this, though. Hoyte and Traore have let me down immesnsely. There was no improvement in the second half.

yup well said matt...but arsenal truly were horrid today...their passing was terrible and van der sar didn't have one save to make...the defending was s**t as against tottenham in which they played their make shift full backs same as today...i dunno if wenger made an excuse to rest them by saying they were injured and that...they just gave them too much space and they toyed with them...and if rooneys shotting was better; he could have easily got an hattrick today...

the best player for manu was probably carrick with those beautiful passes which carved arsenals defence open time and time again...

for arsenal i have to say lehmann...none of the goals were his fault an he made 2-3 great saves as well...

overall arsenal really need to forget about this match and concentrate fully on the next match against AC...they should start with Adabeyor, flamini, clichy and sagna who were all absent today and for me that made all the difference...takin nothin away from manu of course...

Giving the Arses a right good flogging

I never knew you batted for the other side.

I said to my Dad at the start of the game that whoever loses this tie would wn the Premiership and i'm sticking to that.

It was just a terrible day at the office. A one off.

Anyway enough about Arsenal, Liverpool got humiliated. Let's talk about them.

Woohoo! Cardiff in the quarters for the first time since 1927 (when we won the damned thing!)

Should be very interesting if we draw anyone at home (preferably not a Premier League side), a trip to Wembley for the semi's???

This year is heading towards a Premiership V Non-Prem final in my opinion (hopefully)
