Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket

I guess we are all different as to what we need to judge ball line and length. I personally have no visual clues on at all, not because I am great at batting but because that for me is the least distracting way to get into line of the ball in time....
In DBC this is possible. Try playing without the colour indicators and just watch the bowler and the ball....with me by the time my brain has registered oh green is front foot I am too late where as if I take the ball on merit I find I can react in time.... And make mistakes....like cricket...
Too bad that I have sold my PS 3 and DBC 14 with it. I would have definitely tried what you suggest. I posted it earlier but without answer. Will the next version support VR. If it does, I might just be able to bat properly after all. Also some sort of flash to foretell length is a damn good idea. Working out line is not that difficult. It is definitely the length that is hard to preempt.

I'd like the option where the everything goes into slow motion just after the ball is delivered to you, with a coloured zone (parallel to the pitch) appearing to briefly show you the general line and length of the delivery, but, importantly, no pitch marker. You get 2 seconds to make your decision with the controller about what you want to do with the ball;

In addition to what blockerdave mentioned, this would also impact the batting experience. Jumping from normal motion - slow motion - normal motion again doesn't really have a very smooth effect. When you're batting, you would want everything to be at a constant speed. Slowing down will help in determining the footwork, yes, but it will also hamper the flow of the game.

In a crowded field, it's up there with the IPL scoreboard thing as the worst suggestions I've ever seen

Just a suggestion......could you guys perhaps use different colours around the ball as well? The green and yellow is the same thing to me (colourblind). lol

i've heard of red/green colourblind, but never green/yellow! how interesting.

I'm all over in that department. Blue/Purple, Red/Brown same thing. You should see me on a snooker table. Complete chaos. hahahaha. Best day of my life, was when Battlefield brought out their colourbind feature. Finally could stop shooting my own guys.lol

ha ha! weird! one of those things where if you don't have it you can't imagine it!

The gameplay tweaks will sure be there, I would love some next gen graphix and decent commentary, prob's get harsha bhogle in there too

Maybe you could introduce different techniques, e.g Brian Lara's high backlift or a Don Bradman-like technique with a "crooked" backswing.

I was thinking about this when I was playing Matt online the other day... he was pretty consistently bowling outside of off and I really wanted an option to quickly step outside the off stump and hit across the line to legside... I wonder if this would be possible? Somehow along with shot-modifiers there's a footwork modifier that allows you to quickly step back and outside leg or back and across to off-stump to hit the ball?

...that's one thing, especially playing online, I've found a little frustrating is movement of the batsman either down the wicket, but across the wicket too... charging works really well, maybe something like that for stepping outside leg or across to off stump?

This will help us online folks for sure , as you get certain players in the Online versions , that packs Offside with 7 , and then proceeds to bowl 5 out of six just inside the Wide Line , and not anything that you can do to exploit the obvious massive gaps on the On Side .
