Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket

I hope they can fix the boardcast camera angle because it wasn't like the boaedcast camera angle you see on TV.

On a slightly unrelated note, does anyone know if there will be managerial aspect to the new game (i.e similar to Cricket Captain, Football Manager). I love playing manager sometimes rather than playing a whole game.

Sorry if this has previously been discussed.

It hasn't been confirmed nor denied yet, but there is going to be regens... So hopefully that's a positive sign..maybe....maybe not....

Hi Guys,
I have played DBC14 since first release day on PS3. I play this pretty much every day and every second i am at home. There are only a few issues that MUST be addressed in the new DBC17 game. Not sure if anyone will read this but here goes:

1. More Stadiums please (WACA, GABBA, Hobart, The Oval, Auckland, Lords at a minimum)
2. Please fix career mode so that any series played are at different stadiums each game. For example, i just did a home ashes series and 5 tests were at Melbourne, 5 one dayers at Melbourne and 5 T20 at Melbourne. WTF! At least give the option to the player to select the ground...
3. FASTER Bowling on amateur mode. Please make the bowling like real 150 KM/H on amateur mode. Give the player the option to have bowling speeds real-time or beginner/slow/intermediate. Similiar to in FIFA you can increase the speed of the game or something. Batting in Amateur mode is real and very enjoyable however it would be great if the bowling was REAL SPEED or close enough. Not bowlers sending them down at 110KM/H. I want to face 150km/h for real and be able to hit the ball, unlike in Legend mode where they do bowl fast to you however you cant hit the ball/goes no where - no fun.
4. More edges and carry when bowling. I bowl all the time, and hardly ever get an edge an the carry is unrealistic to the keeper.
5. Real Bats/equiptment would be great.
6. Tail enders bat like tail enders. I bowl to Dale Steyn and he's batting like a batsmen. Be a bit more realistic

More swing. Bowling needs work i think but good work. Hopefully you can read this and take it into account, Ross.

Cheers

Stadiums, Models?
Great if we see at least accurate models for the licensed stadiums....
In DBC14, not sure about others, but I noticed a thing... The licensed venues like Melbourne and Sydney are not modeled correctly, although the resemble so much..
on the other hand... some unlicensed stadiums resembles to others in real life. Like Lahore is like Karachi, Johannesburg like Cape Town, Adelaide like Sydney, and the others in the same way,.... So it will be awesome to see the accurate models of stadiums, like EA did in 2006.

Actually Adelaide Oval resembles WACA not SCG...

It is there in the NBA 2k games so its not unrealistic and its a understandable that if you have couple of terrific seasons than you are bound to get rated higher by experts.

All I am trying to say that player potential shouldn't be a fixed attribute like in many sports games but instead it should be slightly dynamic so as to give player a chance to improve beyond limits.
Talking of NBA 2K I also love how you start at a level and with good performances you can buy skills and slowly build your player up to become great. With DBC 14 ( which I loved ) it was always the same in a way there was nothing to work to once you had reached the international level. Another great thing about the 2K games is while it's loading there talking about the game coming up and the key players I hope this is going to happen in DBC 17 as it would be a really nice thing to add as well as interviews.

I'd like to see them know that the whole english county season is being restructured in its schedule next season and put that in for career mode.

  • From 2017, Division One will be reduced from nine to eight teams. Division Two will increase to 10 teams. In the top flight, all the teams will still play each other home and away, a total of 14 games. In the second tier, they will also play 14 games, meaning that each county will only play four of the other counties once during the season, creating a slight imbalance.
  • The T20 Blast remains untouched for now, except that from 2017 it will be played in July and August during the summer school holidays to help keep attracting the younger audience that cricket needs. A two-tier T20 Blast was rejected, at least until the next broadcast deal in 2019, when plans to change the competition to a city-based franchise tournament may also be revived.
  • The moving of the Royal London One-Day Cup group games to April and May and having a Lord's final in July is a throwback to the days of the old Benson and Hedges Cup. This ran from 1975 to 2002, in the days when there were two knockout competitions, both ending in Lord's finals.

Another good feature to include would be the addition of some of the female teams. As of late female cricket has started its uprise and I think it would be cool to include them in the game maybe it may not be in the final product but maybe it can be included in a patch or update

Totally agree.

Womens cricket has come along way in a short space of time.

Would be good to get them in the game

Totally disagree. The cost to create women accurately and make realistic physics would be too much considering no one would buy DB17 just because they have females.

How often would you play with females? Because I've never touched them in FIFA...
