yeah, the thing about the match up was that Germany were better in pretty much every area except in attack. Argentina's plan was to set their stall up defensively and rely on having one of the best offensive line ups in the tournament to nab something. you have to say, scoring 2 goals over 7 and a half hours of football in the knock outs pointed to an overly cautious system that failed to really threaten teams enough.
for them, playing to their strengths would be to take any chances that came their way, and they missed three sitters. to be quite honest, the game went exactly the way they would have wanted it to for them to win, and they still lost. A final appearance flattered them imo.
