Fight Night Round 4 Discussion Thread

Is Hatton in? This, GT4 and MGS are the reasons I'll be getting a ps3 soon. David Haye needs to be in, when he makes the move up to heavyweight could do very well in that average division. Why Tsyzu and Castillo?

I think it's safe to say that every Brit will be buying this and Mayweather is going to be getting his arse kicked a hell of a lot of by Hatton.

Fight Night Round 3 was a great game to have played. But now or near so Fight Night Round 4 shall be coming out. I think it will be released in Spring 2008 (March 2008)

Boxers that should be in this year:
Joe Calzaghe,
Amir Khan,
Floyd Mayweather Jr, :D
Jose Luis Castillo,
Kostya Tsyzu.

Any others you want to name guys.
Discuss everything here.

I really hope they release this on the PC, but who knows...
Hatton needs to be in it still and how about the current heavyweight champ, whose name has gone right out of my head. Vladimir something.... Damn, I hate it when that happens!

'Tis a mathematical certainty!!!! :boxing

Edit: Do you know if it'll be coming on the PS2 at least?

no official word on FN:R4 yet, i heard rumours that EA had dropped the title when they closed the studio that made the game.....only time will tell.

They need to get more decent active fighters in it and if there going down the classic route then they should sod Ali off and add more ex-fighters with the money they'll save from paying to use his name.

very doubtful it'll be on the ps2 if its not even been announced yet, i can see this being 360, ps3 & wii. Cant see it going onto the pc as they'd have to map the controls to a keyboard, for all the people who dont have a joypad for their pc.

its gotta be on the Wii, the system is made for games like this, Boxing, Golf and cricket games can all be fantastic on it (as well as star wars lol)

There's no excuse not to bring it out on PC. If they did, I can guarantee that those few saps that don't have a gamepad on their PC will be more than happy to go out and buy either a PS2 one (with adapter) or that new Thrustmaster one that's come out. Even if they did have to map the controls to keyboard, how long would it take them, compared to the amount of bloody money they'd make??! Honestly, these guys have no business sense at all, otherwise they would've realised by now that the PC is now a mainstream gaming machine and that they'd make a ton if they released all their games on PC. They do it with Fifa and Cricket, even John bloody Madden and basketball games! Isn't boxing more popular in Britain than American so called Football and basketball?

PS3 and 360.

All the usual nonsense that you get, save you reading it and all you need to know is it's coming next year and the only fighters announced are Ali and Tyson. I reckon Mayweather, Hatton, RJJ, Paqiuao etc will be in it like before. I hope Haye is but I doubt it unless he wins the heavyweight title soon, so he best hurry up because I want to box with him. Doubt Amir Khan will be in it because he's only fought nobodys. Hopefully Cottos in it and I don't see Joe Calzaghe or Kelly Pavlik being in it because they are in another game Don Kings prizefighter, as well as Samuel Peter and Joe Frazier. They're the only people who are worth gtting bothered about anyway, there's more and some good fighters on the other game but not too many big names :p
