First XI Problem

For some reason after I installed the holy batpack and decided to add to my story, I can't convince the Test XI to pick Shane Warne. First they had Flintoff in the place that he usually had, so I replaced him in the squad with some no-named American. Then they put Vaughan in the place. The problem is that I have to play as the ODI XI this game and have to let the Test XI autopick itself. Can anyone give me a tip as to how to get Warney into the team? (especially considering he is the punchline of the majority of my jokes)
