Football Transfers Thread

I hope United get Nakamura on a free as they're linked with him in MOTD mag

On my managing games i've always tried to sign Nakumara!! I could be a GOD

We don't really need him though, where would we play him and the Scottish leagues can make a lot of players look good.

I'd say the only players we need are a centre forward and possibly a right back.

I said to sd92 on WLM that I expect Fangzhou Dong, Wes Brown, Louis Saha and John O'Shea to leave Man Utd in the off season.

To be honest, I hope you're right about most of them and I think you will be. Dong is nowhere near United's standards and was brought in to sell shirts in China. Brown can play a part in the squad but didn't play well today and is average really. Add to that his contract runs out in the summer and he's too greedy to sign a perfectly good offer for a new contract because he wants 60k instead of 50. Saha injures himself waking up and how we are still paying him I dont know. I dont really rate O'Shea, although he'll go down in folklore for scoring "that" goal at Anfield. I can see him staying although I hope he goes.

Browns gone now really. We won't get rid of O'Shea just because he can play in 10 positions, Dong will probs go, Saha probably won't be alive by the end of the season too. Bring in a right back Johnson or someone although Alves would be nice. Another striker too, someone happy to be on the bench.

I'm not too keen on Johnson, Alves would be good but I cant us getting him. Maybe Phillip Lahm from Bayern. Yeah for the striker, he'd have to be happy to be on the bench like you say, but it would be important for away games for him to play I think. A lot of times this season we've been fine at home with Rooney and Tevez, but away from home, we need someone doing a similar job as Saha did in the first half of last season where we won some very tricky away games (eg. Blackburn, boro and Bolton). I'd have said someone like Huntelaar but the prices being banded about for him are extortionate. I've heard about Luis Fabiano at Seville as well.

Villa open to Gunners switch

Sky Sports said:
"I watch the Premier League a lot and the team I'm most attracted to is definitely Arsenal," he told The Sun.

"Their brilliant one and two-touch football and the whole style of rapid counter-attack which dominates the top level of the Premier League now is the one which suits my game best of all.

David Villa is actually a better player than Fernando Torres. Would be a brilliant signing for the Gunners. Spain surely have the best strikers amongst all the Euro 2008 sides.

DAVID VILLA is ready to snub Chelsea and move to Arsenal - The Sun
Arsenal also linked with De Guzman, Robinho, Ben Afra, Benzema, Diego and Quaresma...ooooooooo...please buy someone wenger...we need another worldclass striker and villa will fit the bill perfectly...
