Well Phil was telling me about him scoring twice yesterday in an important match for Panathinaikos or something. He was brilliant at the African nations so he's got a lot of potential, we still need another striker though imo, maybe a defender, we're being linked with Micah Richards which I can't see. Another winger wouldn't go amiss with Giggs getting ready to go.

Looks like Flamini is a Milan player, great signing for them if he does go, he's been fantastic for Arsenal and his work rate is brilliant. Hleb been linked with Inter all year but can't see that one happening, Wenger won't let all the players he's brought through just go.

Yep, looks like Manucho is the real deal, scored 3 in 5 for Panathinakos and scored plenty in the African Nations Cup. However, as Saha hopefully will go, you don't want to go into the season with only two strikers that have played in the Premier League. So, like I'd say before, get another striker in. Lots of rumours linking us to Antonio Valencia from Wigan, not sure where he'd fit in though.

well looks like one of your fav players might be moving to arsenal this summer...i don't think spurs will go for him as they have already bought modric for a hefty ?15mil which could go up to ?20mil cos of clauses...so that leaves arsenal in a very good position to go for him but with that kind of a price tag, i won't be at all surprised if wenger is put off...i mean his most expensive buy has been around 12.5mil if i am not mistaken and he must understand now that you must spend around 15-20mil on a talent that you know is gna come in and start performing straight away...the likes of afra, deigo, quaresma, villa and indeed robinho all fall in this category...modric was available as well but wenger was too late again...like he was for several other players that he keeps on mentioning (ronaldo as one of em)...also villa has declared his intrest in playing for arsenal and if i was wenger i would bite his hands off...he a exceptionly clinical player and i think we need that after 100s of chances gone begging this year which would have been put away by the likes of villa...

so PLEASE wenger buy some quality that is gna have an affect straight away, not in 10 years time...

Well I really like Robinho and truly believe he has tremendous talent. But seems very moody by nature and plays well only when he really wants to. I understand it was difficult for him to play during Capello's spell as his tactics were completely against Robinho's own. But Schuster has got a working system now that likes to attack and that makes good use of both the center and the flanks to move forward. Robinho has had brief spells where he has been awesome, but the consistency just isnt there.

If we do get 20 million for him, I'd probably consider selling him under the circumstances and use that money to sign someone like Quaresma. We have enough options on the flanks anyways.

In other transfer news, AS have mentioned that Real Madrid have apparently got a verbal agreement with Valencia over striker David Villa. Quaresma deal also seems to be in the final stages, so thats two really good signings lined up.

Hleb's not been brought through, he was bought 15million Euros in 2005. Flamini wasn't really brought through either as he joined Arsenal when he was 20, after a good season with Marseille. He helped Flamini and Hleb improve, but he certainly didn't bring them through, VFB Stuttgart and Marseille are the 2 clubs where both players have been brought through and made into top players.

Former Blue Titus Bramble, currently with Wigan Athletic, has been linked with a summer return to Portman Road by one of this morning’s tabloids. Meanwhile, Yeovil Town boss Russell Slade says he would like to sign Jaime Peters, who has been on loan at Huish Park since January, on a permanent basis.
Bramble returned to the Latics side for their 2-0 victory at Aston Villa at the weekend but prior to that match had been out of favour since January and may not be seen as a future first choice by boss Steve Bruce.

Slade says Peters has thrived in a role playing just off ex-Town frontman Marcus Stewart: "He has finished the season in good style.

"We have found a little slot for him where he seems to flourish on the ball, getting at people.

"But like any player worth his salt, if he can make a breakthrough and play in the Championship with Ipswich he is going to do that and stay there."

Elsewhere, Town have again been linked with Linfield striker Peter Thompson after watching the Irish League champions in action in their 2-1 Northern Irish Cup Final victory over Coleraine on Saturday in which the 24-year-old scored both goals. Town were previously linked with Northern Irish international Thompson back in 2006.

Last month, TWTD reported that the Blues are also interested in Linfield keeper Alan Mannus.

it was more of a comment about bringing the squad together, shouldn't really read too much into it.

and Flamini's signed with Milan now.

He stayed last season to gain a regular spot, he makes himself a valuable part of this team and then he leaves for more money.

Credit to Wenger, he doesn't force players' hands. If they wanna go, he lets them.

Hleb will stay though.

well i HOPE he stays...those two have been absolute key players to arsenal along with fab and ade...

arsenal really need a quality holding midfielder now after the departure of mr flamini and he was one of the reasons why fab was so good this season...as gilberto will be going to i believe...someone like barry or gattuso will fit right into our system...but song can play the same rule too but will he be up to the high standards that flamini set?

well it is said that we have been give £25mil for transfer which i personally would spend on a defensive midfielder, a winger(in case hleb suddenly decides to go) and a forward...and maybe another defender also if sendros or hoyte go...

well Flamini is gone i believe and that is not good although inevitable,

also I am uncertain about Fabregas, he is such a classy player and I cannot see him leaving, Wenger is certain he will stay but now I have read that clubs are contacting him and speaking about terms,

this is ridiculous and i want to know the amount of likelyhood in his move?

Also what about Eto, last year there were rumours and again this year, will he go and if he does who too? personally I would prefer David Villa at Arsenal but Eto'o would be good to any side.

Also I have read all over the place about Ronaldinho and him moving to one of the smaller clubs in England (Man City) is thier any truth in this?

I don’t think fabregas will go just yet…I mean ofcourse if we fail to win trophies in 2-3 years time I can see him leaving but not just yet…
Eto, nah I don’t think he’s linked with arsenal but villa WANTS to move to arsenal that’s if wenger decides to go for him…but If he does want to buy him than he should make the move before the euros as if he does well than his value will go up dramtically…
And yup ronaldinho was supposed to be moving to AC but couldn’t agree terms and the other club he was linked to was supposedly man city…I don’t know if he’s ready to take a pay cut and go to a small club to play regular football…

Real Madrid are offering Valencia 25 million pounds + Mohammadou Diarra for David Villa. Quaresma is expected to be signed soon for around 14 million pounds, while Robinho is expected to be sold for around 20 million pounds. (This according to AS)

Coming to the Dos Santos issue, Barcelona are apparently not willing to sell him at any cost. There have been lots of rumours that he would be sold, but latest news says that Barcelona are only willing to listen to loan offers, as Dos Santos is considered crucial for Barcelona's future. Valencia are going to lose quite a few players in the summer after a horrific season that could still see them getting relegated. But the lack of European football next season, means their international stars like Villa, Silva, Joaquin, Arizmendi, Zigic and others are looking for a move. (El Mundo Deporitivo)

But all of them long term contracts with the club which means the buying teams will have to shell out a decent amount of money.

Silly season's started already with some of the rumours, for example one of the papers said that Chelsea will spend ?50 million on Ramos, while another said it was ?20 million, not much difference, eh?

Football agents are the scum of the earth. They're sneaky and greedy. Take Cashley Mole's agent for example. He instigated the illegal meeting between Cole and Chelsea and I wouldn't be surprised if Hleb's agent had done the same thing.
