Football Transfers Thread

It definitely concerns me quite how much we're paying for a player like Fellaini. £15m is a hell of a lot for a defensive midfielder. ITA that Moutinho sounded like a better bet. I guess if Saha can stay injury free these signings could work out - I'd say that Kenwright has been more free with his wallet this summer than any other summer I can remember in recent history.
Oh and on the subject of fellatio, you realise there's a whole load of younger members who don't get that and are going to be asking their parents what it is?

What's fellatio.....?

I really wanted Moutinho. Thought we'd get him on Monday but Moyes had other ideas. Or all Scotsmen as tight fisted as Moyes Colin?

If you're forking out all of £15m for Fellatio, it best be some damn good h...

I'll be interested to see how City spend in the January transfer window and where they'll try and strengthen or whether they'll just bid £50m for every Tom, Dick (and fellatio) and Harry

Considering they asked for Hughes' reccomendation on which players to bid for on window day, I imagine it'll be Hughes asking for specific positional players and just being able to reel off a name of the biggest names around in those positions to keep the owners happy.

I cant believe how Since city have a big money tree out the back and endless supply that they suddenly think they are one of the biggest clubs in the world and think they can land anyone

They are the richest club of Planet now :( if money power really works then we will be seeing more huge transfers in Jaunary  they will be a monster ;)

Money talks, always has done. Robinho won't be the first to join City on 160 thousand a week salaries.

Exactly. Man City will be one of the biggest clubs in the world, just for sheer monetary value. If you look at the top 10 sides in Europe, plenty of them are regarded as big clubs despite not having really won all that much recently but being rich.

Man City have just undergone what we in Australia like to call 'the reason European soccer has an awful set up.' Get bought out by rich owners, and either experience success on the field, or just get called a massive club and have bandwagoners jump all over you.

Only moneygrabbers will join City, and you can't be the biggest club in the world without a decently successful history. Their 3 stars on their shirt don't mean anything.

Proper footballers with ambition will not join City until they start consistently getting into the Champions League. Refreshing to hear Berbatov say "I want to play for the red shirt".

80k a week, a big difference to the 150k he could have got at City.

But do City really think that players will want to leave genuinely big clubs such as Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid and (save the best for last) Man Utd? I'd wager that many of these foreign players had never even heard of Man City until now!
