Football Transfers Thread

Sorry, I meant to add Everton and Newcastle as well, but I forgot. Those two are also bigger than City. Oh, and Aston Villa.

Berbatov in his interview tonight:

"If I want money, I choose City or Chelsea offer. I have come to the biggest club in the world"

Top class Berbatov lad!:D So suave as well:D

Real Madrid could buy anyone they want as well and have been doing so for years but they're still not the best in the world.

Actually we are the best team in the world. More number of trophies (if coeffecients are taken into consideration, because I know PSV have won more in number) and awards than any other team, both in team and individual level. I am sure City are also targeting the success.

Lets be honest, City have the resources to do it, but they still have to do it.

But City wont probably be bigger than Real Madrid in my life-time, so its all fine.

Wake up Berby

They're holding talks this morning apparently, I don't even get why he wants to go. Apparently Ashley bought a player that he didn't want, that player being Jonas Gutierrez. I'd have been bloody happy if Kenwright bought Jonas without Moyes' agreement, he looks a very good player. I think it's him anyway, that's what they were saying on Revista De La Liga this morning.

Keegan never confirmed the sale of Milner as he wanted him to stay. Ashley went over his head and sold him. Ashley also tried to sell Barton on the last day, and whilst Keegan doesn't like Barton or see the need for him at the club, it would have been impossible to sign a replacement in time until Barton said he didn't want to move. Ashley would have left Kev up a creek.

He also tried to sell Alan Smith to us behind Keegan's back as well. We were all set to pay £3.5 million for him but Ashley raised the price to £5 million at the last minute and we pulled out 'cos were skint.

Why you boys signed Fellatio ahead of Moutinho I have no idea. Moutinho's been kicking up a fuss at Sporting ever since you were linked with him. Made countless interviews suggesting he wants to move to the Premiership and that he wanted to move to Everton, having finished so highly last year and having players such as Arteta. Yet you spend £15 Million on Fellatio, a defensive midfielder you don't particularly need, sign Jacobsen, a third choice right back. I'm sorry, but if he isn't going to be good enough to challene Tony Hibbert, then it's a useless signing, Carlo freakin' Nash, there just aren't words. So in total taking into account you did offer £3.5 Million for Smith, what you have spent or at least with Smith had in place to spend is essentially on the £20 Million Sporting wanted for Moutinho. You'd probably have also saved some money as Mountinho himself wouldn't have been on as much weekly as the 3/4 players you did sign, and he'd sure as hell sell some more shirts.

Ridiculously stupid board.

Lolz, I love how everyone is calling him Fellatio now after I used it =D

It is a stupid piece of business, but Fellatio is good on Football Manager (that sounds wrong) so we'll let him off :p. Moutinho would have been a far better signing. A midfield of:
Arteta
Cahill
Osman
Moutinho

Looks far better than:
Arteta
Cahill
Osman
Fellatio

Moyes need to step up his act in the January window, and Kenwright needs to stop being so tight fisted. We need a foreign investor.....

Stop shouldering all the blame on Kenwright Dan. We're skint as it is, yet he made it clear to Moyes that he would give him £20-25 million to spend on players. Moyes should have bought Moutinho but he let us down badly on that one. I'm not in the best of moods with Moyes atm and unless this Fellatio (which I said first!) fella turns out to be worth the ridiculous fee we've paid for him then my doubts over Moyes will continue. Sad really, because is still one of the best managers in the Premiership.

I've not shouldered all the blame onto Kenwright. The blame's equal between the two. We should have bought some good players. Moyes has bought crap, Saha's injury prone, Jacobsen's rubbish, Nash is just a back-up and I'd never had heard of Fellatio before we bought him. No chance of finishing 5th this season, Villa, Spurs and City all have bought better than us and have better teams, we need to start performing in cup competitions tbh, or else we won't be in Europe next year.

Also, as for saying Fellatio first, I didn't notice your post until you just mentioned it, and you spelt Fellatio wrong. Therefore, me=win. :p
