The thing is, people can bleet about them not being able to sign all the biggest names because they're already at clubs like United, Barcelona, Inter etc. They don't need too. Where does everyone think these clubs get their star players from? Because the majority of the time (excluding United's golden generation and the old player such as Bojan) these clubs buy from smaller clubs, a market that Manchester City can now compete in. They don't need to try and sign Henry from Barca, Ronaldo from United etc. They can pray upon the best players in second tier teams. Players like Aguero from Athletico, Rafinha from Schalke, De Guzman from Feyenoord etc. It's an open market that they will easily be able to exploit, their only previous stumbling block was money, which isn't a problem anymore. Everyone can bleet about greedy players as well, and I agree that there are too many greedy players but if you put yourself in the situation of a 19 year old Brazilian kid who grew up in Rio de Janero who's parents have nothing, are you going to join a team like Athletico you may be able to aid your development into an initial burst, or are you going to join Manchester City throwing 15k a week at you, more money than your family will have ever seen? It's easy.
However I do agree with all these guys who are now 24/25, have earnt way more than enough money to set themselves up for life already but are demanding another 50k a week etc. It's a fickle business, and it's always going to be this way. It's a huge money market and it was always inevitable this is how it would go.
