Football Transfers Thread

Robinho won't make City a good team. They'll miss out on a Uefa Cup spot and the fans will be begging the board to keep Hughes while the other fans will go back to supporting Chelsea.

:D:D:D It's hilarious they're trying to sign Ronaldo, Torres and Fabregas.

They've got no chance with any of them. Yet they will all be giddy about how they might:p. They're all quick to get their Robinho shirts as well, saw a couple this morning!

I thought that was a joke lol. They're not actually serious?

Rolling ticker on SSN, apparently the owner of the company thats taking them over wants them.:p

A minimum of 18 new players? What, all on £200k a week? They won't get the best players in the world because they already play in the premier league.

If they do get bids accepted though, one thing good (apart from humour) will come out of it. The money grabbers, and the ones with some self-respect will be come clear to see.

lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

"Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, so we will see in January if he is serious," Al-Fahim said in The Guardian.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D. This gets funnier by the day:D.

And United and Arsenal will get a squad for Ronaldo and Fabregas. Saying that, Wenger will probably buy a maternity ward with the money to hone future stars

I already hate him. The fact that he's a bit chubby only makes me think he's even more obnoxious. He's a joke. Wouldn't mind having his wealth though.

City are bigger than big.

Calderon: You want to go to Manchester?

Robinho: Yeah definitely.

the next game...

Robinho: Erm gaffer, don't we play in red?;)

:rtfl! He's definitely not gone there for sporting reasons, that's for sure!

We've already seen with Chelski that, even if you buy, buy, buy, it guarantees nothing and that may be a very expensive lesson City's new owners might have to learn and I for sure will be :rtfl if it all goes pear shaped!

I have a feeling Robinho will be a massive flop at City, Berbatov will be a class player for United though - I think they have needed a player in his style since van Nistelrooy left. They are the complete team now it seems.

Brazilians don't generally do well here, do they? I mean, Juninho did well for a bit, but then he got homesick or something, didn't he?

The new owners are worth $1 Trillion, and their investments and companies turned over more than £5 billion profit last year. Anyone who isn't going to take City seriously is going to be for a shock given another transfer window or two.
