Football Transfers Thread

I swear I've seen you do pretty much identical posts like that 200 times around the forum. It's getting a bit repetive now mate. ;)

I've done it twice, i've recieved positive feedback for it twice, and both members i've aimed it at have deserved it twice. Jog on son. Unlucky.

If Man United could drop a few million when they visit Carrow Road next month it would be nice.

The synthetic ones can come in handy when engaging in any form of sporting activity though. Especially football on a cold sunday morning. Nothing worse than copping a football in the knackers on a cold day!

Lee, I take offense to your sig. Some members in this forum are too young for that.

Yeah but a skim is worse than a full on smack to the balls. I dunno why but it just is.

Not sure, I was playing cricket in the back garden with one of my cousins the other weekend and he threw some hard bouncy ball thing at me, copped me smack on the right testicle. I was almost sick. Why couldn't evolution have blessed us with a rib cage around the testicles? I know it's to do with them needing to be cool, but I'm sure you could fit a nice air con system into the rib cage. Would certainly put an end to man's biggest fear!

What I don't get is the fact that your stomach and its entire surrounding area has to hurt once being struck in the jewels. I mean why God? Isn't the testicular pain enough?

So true!

Anyway, back on topic, silly season is in full swing. Apparently, Liverpool are thinking of selling us Torres.

Disagree with both of these to be honest. He's given United some great times as well, let's not forget that. Won't go down as a United legend by any means but as a very good player for us during 6 years. We've made a 68 million profit on him as well. Although I do admit I'd find some pleasure in his career going downhill at Madrid, but that's more to do with how Madrid have chased him for the last 3 years.;)

I'm not pleased to see him go, but the fact is his heart wasn't in it anymore and we'd be mad to turn down ?80m for just one player. It's not the fact that he's gone that annoys me. It's the promises and comedy interviews not more than a month back, where he swore that he'd be staying. That's what really pisses me off and I bet AC Milan fans are the same with Kaka. I can't wish him good luck at Real because I can't bloody stand that team. Can't believe that Real are after Villa as well! I thought they were in a bigger financial hole than we were...

And to anyone who thinks this is the end for Utd, I'm sorry to have to burst your bubble, but this sort of thing has happened before. At the end of the 94/95 season, or thereabouts, Sir Alex sold Kanchelskis, Hughes and Ince. Everyone said he'd lost the plot, that Utd's dominance was over and so on. Utd went on to win the Double the very next season and around three years after that, the Treble followed. Sir Alex knew what he was doing then and he knows what he's doing now.

I just can't wait to see who we bring in now...

I would love Chelsea to blow ?20m on a RB they don't need.

Tevez is not that good anyway to be courting interest from 4 clubs! HE works hard but there are much better dribblers, finishers and link-up men in the Premiership alone.

Real Madrid were never in a financial hole. At the beginning of last season, Calderon has said he had made more than 300 million available as funds for transfer and additional wages. Many say Ronaldo's deal was actually done by him.

David Villa's case looks tricky. Valencia want a striker, and want Higuain apparently to be included in the bid (+ cash obviously). Valdano has told them to bugger off. Till yesterday, Negredo or Saviola were been offered, and I would think Valencia want neither.
