There's another rumour that Utd are going to bid for Villa as well. We should; who else is out there who we could buy (we need a mega signing to fill the void left by Ronaldo).

Zinedine Zidane has told Ribery to reject a possible move to Utd in favour of (presumably) a move to Real Madrid. What is it about great players, as soon as they leave the game, they start spouting drivel. ZZ is biased towards that shambles of a club, end of story. And note that Real have not bought any defenders. They're trying to build from the roof down; try building a house like that and see how far it gets you. It would be great if they fell flat on their faces.

Anyway, if Real get Villa as well as Kaka and Ronaldo and are successful next season, that is the most blatant example of buying trophies that I've ever heard of (I'll save you the trouble, M Vaughan: Utd have bought players before, but have never spent the obscene amounts of money that Real are currently spending).

Zidane works for Real Madrid. I'm not quite sure what he does but he is employed by Perez.
 
I dont believe in this concept of buying trophies. You have the money, you spend. One of the reasons why the EPL has become so strong over the last few years is because of buying foreign talent.

And MB your comments on Zizou is ridiculous considering he is Perez's official advisor.

Kia Joorabchian just did a phone-in with Sky Sports saying Liverpool were closest to signing Carlos Tevez offering ?21m and ?123k a week which is odd considering they were saying Tevez was in talks to stay an hour ago.

Also, the Telegraph is reporting Vidic wants a move to Barcelona with Pique to move in the opposite direction. They had a video of him saying something like 'Barca is my dream' or something.

Damn, I was hoping Chelsea would buy him. Ah, well, Liverpool are equally deserving. Seriously, the players WE could buy if we had ?18m.

:D Unlucky, I did try the link but it said page not found (obviously;)) anyway.

Yeah:D. Sums up how ridiculous some aspects of modern football too though, doesn't it! 100 euros in a minute.:eek:
 
When I get a job, I'll demand Kaka-style payments. If he bitches about it, I'll point out that it was disparity of wealth that caused the 1930s Depression. Gimme the same money and it will all be gravy.
