What do you guys think of the new Utd shirt? I love it, personally. This'll be the last AIG one though, won't it?
There have been mass petitions against it, it looks for too much like a rugby league shirt and the United fans hate it.

Wow - I thought it looked good personally. Now you mention it, it does look a bit like a rugby shirt, but I still like it. Mass petitions though, didn't expect that. Are you sure they weren't against the Owen signing? :p

Edit: Shirt's supposed to commemorate the 100 up apparently? Having said I like it, I would love it if Utd were sponsored by Adidas: I've always loved those three stripes on a shirt.

Someone's been reading the sun's website.;)

It's a money making idea with the 100 years thing, nothing more, which sums up the club. Expect the shirt to change next year when AON becomes the walking advert on the front. It's a shame because most of the time, surprisingly, United have been one of the best in the league for not rotating shirts every season. Seems the money men are onto that one now.

The best shirts with nike have been the red and gold one from 2006/07 and the black one from 07/08, both only used for a season.

Admit it, you wish this was your kit.

Eugh. Definitely not. I prefer the new Everton kit to that. Just plain boring white with a tiny little bit of green, and that horrible Norwich City badge ;)

I actually like the United design, looks really nice in this pic:

Still ruined by that horrible yellow and green badge. Really need to start supporting a real club Lee, get yourself down to Portman Road if you wanna stay local and watch some real football ;)

I'd sooner boil myself alive. and that's a fact!

I love United's kit.

Anyway, Melo has been mooted with a deal including a swap with Eboue. Melo looked rubbish in the CC. He didn't play as a DM at all and it was Gilberto doing the covering. He's nowhere near the ?21m.

Yeah that's the one. At least you don't have to put up with this next season;

My personal favourite Utd kit is this one:

'99 Treble winning shirt (mine has Scholes on the back). Sharp was my favourite sponsor. Vodafone was ok, but I've never really been sold by the AIG one, I hope our next one looks better.

Agreed, it looks superb. At least it's better than the new England kit. I saw it in store a few days ago and I have never been less impressed with a football shirt. And they want ?40 for it: it's basically a white polo shirt with an England badge on it! The new Utd kit is class though.

Edit: Owen's not doing himself any favours talking about England already. Let's just see how it goes, eh Michael? I'm sure if you play well for Utd you'll get back into the England setup, but first things first: scoring goals for Utd!

Edit: Maybe that was more down to the interviewer: I'm listening to it now and he did lead him a bit with the England question, of course Owen would say he wants to play for England again - why shouldn't he, especially in these promising times under Capello. Trouble is, I don't think Capello likes him much at all - he'll really have his work cut out to impress him. But where better to do that than Utd?
