Football Transfers Thread

Bloody Man City. It's teams like that who will stifle young English talent trying to come through - how can they compete against established megastars - which is exactly what City will buy? Their owners don't give a stuff about the England team. It's time for a wage cap and limit on foreigners.

Indeed. Isn't going to help our national team at all. I will mean nothing if Man City does well in Europe if English players aren't involved.

It is Mourinho's first signing. Raul, Guti and Drenthe are almost certain to leave while Benzema's situation seems uncertain as well. I've heard about the Silva to City and Mata to Barca rumours but Valencia have recently come out and denied any negotiations have taken place on either of those players.

Doubt Valencia will sell Mata or Silva after Villa's transfer.

Is it Mourinho's signing or Perez's signing? Sorry for being sceptical here.

Seems that Fabiano has set his heart on a move to Old Trafford - the lad has taste. Whether Sir Alex wants to (or can) bid for him is another matter.

Fabiano has said for a long time that he's wanted a move to Utd and we're always linked with him. I'd rather give Berbatov another chance and allow Hernandez a lot of game time. Fergie won't sign anyone big in the transfer window I don't think.

Tottenham have made an offer to Palermo for Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani. Reported to be ?28.4 mil for both of them together and the Palermo chairman has said they cannot refuse. Two quality players Tottenham could have next season.

Silva will move Man City after the World Cup. Valencia are getting squeezed completely and if Mata also leaves I don't know how they'll cope up next season.

Two more International stars join City - Yaya Toure and David Silva. What's the bet that within a few seasons, City will be entirely devoid of English players?

Chelsea buying Benayoun when he is already 30?!! He maybe a good player to some people but I'm being sceptical about it at the moment. >.>

Yea. 3 of our best young players in Richards, A Johnson & Hart are @ City now & i dont see them getting much 1st team game time. Its ridiculous.

He's a decent player, but he isn't the sort of player Chelsea should be buying - strange one for me.
