Haha, I guess Di Matteo is going around looking for players who can really fit well with his side. Just like AVB. Hope he doesn't end up like him.

He'd better not do too much too. AVB supposedly wanted a lot of the guys from Porto to give them a promotion. He didn't get them, and good thing, now they're available for his next job (e.g. Moutinho). So Di Matteo shouldn't do too much as he should know Abramaovich will throw him on the street as soon as Guardiola becomes available.

Also just remember Victor Moses should be available too. Barring maybe Ben Arfa and a couple of others, he is the best dribbler in the league. Would be a great Walcott replacement should he leave. Also would be great for Liverpool too, no more Downing. Could do the job if both Pienaar and Dos Santos leave Spurs too.

Shows they aren't really getting Hulk. Plus I think they'll really need to pay big to get Jovetic.

Looks like Di Matteo has no interest in Hulk and it was Abramovich playing FM.

:facepalm

Think it's down to the fact that Porto are being a prick and are playing hardball over the sale of Hulk. Their fee demand for him is ridiculous. There were reports saying that Porto wants more than 40m for him and if that is the case, best to pull the plug and pursue someone else. Even anywhere more than 35m for him is too much IMO.

I thought Hulk had already gone through?

Nah, I was also on the same line of thought, but Porto want a higher fee for him. Really, his previous agreement on the fee itself was too high.

Hope PSG don't accept their demands, Porto are just riding on the thought that PSG will be willing to pay big to get their target.

Anything more than 25 m for him is ridiculous.

Abramovich WAS playing FM, no other way to describe an owner buying whatever player he wants with no manager.

I like that you didn't mention the part where he rubbishes complaints of tiredness ;)

Also the entire article falls apart when he talks about Redknapp and essentially blurs the lines massively.

To say he took over a Spurs side that were bottom ignores that we had finished 4th and 5th in the years prior to that. To claim that AVB was tactically naive ignores Redknapp throwing away leads against all the big clubs and the entire mental implosion he had for the second half of the season. The final ridiculous one is where he tries to claim that Harry was behind Modric's rise?!? The guy adjusted to England and got better and better. Also, funnily enough Ramos has won as many domestic trophies as Harry :rolleyes

To carry on... How about Bale being almost frozen out by Harry and now signing a long contract when Harry leaves? Or the fact Luka was off last year if it wasn't for Levy... or the fact we've outspent nearly every club that finished below us. Don't really know why I ever read anything in the Daily Fail, such a terrible paper.

so finally park has left man utd for qpr :(

Always liked Park, reality is that at 31 he's not the player he was in his physical peak, but I hope he does well at QPR.

I also always liked Park. I'd like to see him do well, but realistically I reckon he'll have an iffy season then either be on the fringes at QPR or he'll leave. Just a two-year contract then he should be off to the US or something.

I suppose there wasn't much point holding on to him, there comes a time when a player just won't sell any more merchandise for you, and I'm sure that stage has been reached by Park. Was a good player too though a few seasons ago.

Loved playing big games against Arsenal, so for that reason, I loved the guy :p

He was at Utd because he was a good player, not because of merchandising.

Sigh...

I know, I was saying there is no point in keeping him any further as he won't sell much more merchandise, he's been there long enough.

Very good player especially in big games, but he obviously tailed away at the end of the season and hence why he isn't a Utd player any more.
