Nope. Instead SAF follows suit as Brendan Rodgers by closing in on a completely unknown player from the Dutch League. He's an LB, which makes sense. Deal reportedly worth ?5million (?3.9million).

United move for Buttner | Manchester United News, Fixtures, Results, Transfers | Sky Sports

I just read on Sky that the bookies have slashed the odds on... a loan deal for Kaka to Utd! I know he isn't the player he was, but he'll still have his vision and eye for a pass. He'd be a great addition! :) Of course, we'd still have to pay his wages, which I'd imagine are rather high. ;)

Buttner... nope, never heard of him either. But then again, the same could've been said of Solskjaer. ;)

Ye Evra was a similar unknwon case left-back when we signed him. So maybe its a case of SAF's excellent scouting network working, but we shall see.

What about him?

Do you reckon that a) it's true and b) he'd be a good addition, considering that he's not the player he was? It was in my earlier post: bookies have apparently slashed the odds on a Kaka to Utd loan deal.

Oh ha, nah that's bookie madness. If Fletcher is coming back i don't think United need a mid-fielder anymore, although i would get rid of Anderson asap.

Just have to manage the old killers Scholes and Giggs, along with knowing when/how to use Carrick, Cleverley, Kagawa, Fletcher, Jones depending on match/opposition.

Looks like this Adam Johnson transfer talk is for real. One of those players I really like, wish him the best wherever he goes, hopefully it'll be a loan deal.

From what I know, he's a rising prospect who can play anywhere on the left flank, a bit like Fabio Coentrao. But he isn't as good as Coentrao (for the moment).

The teams looking for a left back should try and get Natxo Monreal. Good player and should be available cheap, very cheap seeing Malaga's financial difficulties.

Don't think Kaka is what you need at all either, especially on loan. Ball-winner should be the only target in midfield if any. RB and LB too. Reckon Yanga-Mbiwa would be a good choice, has said he would love to play for Utd one day, can play across the backline and is captain of the title-winning Montpellier team.

Sahin is in the bag as well, loan with option to buy. Should be done early next week at the latest. World class player if he can play like he did at Dortmund.

Yo Don, Monreal and Yanga-Mbiwa are two excellent choices for real.

Montpellier unfortunately admit they got burnt terribly selling Giroud, so I really doubt they'll let Yanga-Mbiwa go cheaply. AC Milan are after him too and they clearly won't be willing to pay what's needed to get him.

Just saw this as well, Montpellier owner on Yanga-Mbiwa:

"They need to stop pissing me off. If Mapou doesn't like to stay, he'll go in the reserves. At some point club owners have to say 'stop' otherwise we'll be eaten alive. When we have crap players and nobody wants them, we have no choice but to keep them. So we'll be totally strict: he stays. It'll prove the size of my balls."

Rules that one out lol.
