Could the Mirror be miraculously right?

But it's quite obvious that there's going to be a clear out at City at the end of the season, whether they have Mancini in charge or not.

Well, if he really wanted to "win back Manchester City fans" as he says, he would pen the new deal and quit blabbering about going back to Argentina on a free.

On Kolarov, that's really the only one that didn't make a whole lot of sense to me... But then again, pushing de Jong out the door didn't make much sense either.

Wholesale summer clearouts can be risky - remember when City first started buying big? They needed a certain amount of time to gel, and the team needed additional tweaking with new signings. This isn't EA Fifa...

The only time I remember a wholesale summer clearout really paying off was 95/96 when Sir Alex let go Ince, Hughes, Kanchelskis etc. But that only worked because their replacements, the Fergie Fledglings, had come through the ranks together and were therefore already 'gelled'.

Mhm, didn't think of that, maybe because I've never really seen a summer clear out before(:p), but good point that...

The last thing Spurs need is another selfish striker whose finishing is quite erratic.

Anything other than Adebayor would be a step up at the moment. He's gone beyond useless now. Him getting injured against Arsenal coincided with us actually taking charge of the game. We've basically been playing with 10 men since he got back from the Afcon.

Well it's not exactly gone that bad with 10 men, has it?

Yeah it's a bleedin' miracle we're doing as well as we are. If we'd had a striker this season, we'd be sitting in 2nd.

I can't really stress to people who haven't watched nearly every Spurs game that he's played quite how woeful he is at the moment. I knew he'd not be as good as last season (still not as good as his numbers suggested) but I never thought he'd be quite this bad. Since the Afcon he's the worst striker I've seen play Premiership football. If you showed me a random 20mins of him playing, I'd think it was another Ali Dia.

"El Kun would be the solution for Madrid's future, a perfect complement for Ronaldo,? Maradona said. ?Sergio is pure movement, while Benzema and Higuain are two impressive tanks who can pull around the defence for you, but who clash with CR7 (Ronaldo). One of these days Cristiano is going to carry off one of those two. Sometimes I think they are going to need to put in traffic-lights to organise the traffic between them. Kun would create spaces for Ronaldo. It would be spectacular. I continue to see him at Madrid, although the truth is at the moment he is very happy at City, very happy with the club. Having said that, living in Manchester is like living in a freezer.

That isn't the first time I'm seeing somebody complain about Manchester.

It's always about the climate with these foreigners. If they want warm sunshine, stay in mainland Europe. Going to live in the north of England? Well don't be surprised that it's chilly.

That, and the fact that Manchester isn't one of the favourites of a player.
