I think that Moyes just wants some interest and bids from other teams , that all . :spy

Eriksen turns down Leverkusen - ESPN FC

Quite shocking how little interest he's garnering from the top clubs in Europe tbh, he's just as talented as Thiago at this point and while he's off to Bayern, Eriksen over here is having to turn down Bayer... I'm done. :facepalm

----------

Maybe I'm just overrating him, maybe.

Yeah you are:p. Remember he's also playing in the Eredivisie, players there can often struggle outside of Holland early in their careers elsewhere. That's more obvious for forwards but it still happens to midfielders.

Thiago is your typical Spanish midfielder in that he's amazing, he's a level above Eriksen IMO.

fearsome tweak off Rooney you ugly ---- stay the fearsome tweak away from my club dickhead.

?10m + Mata or Luiz, what in the Mark...

Okay, maybe I went a little far pitting him on equals to Thiago :p, but still, we've seen him in Internationals, in the Champions League (vs us :rolleyes), surely that's got to overlook the Eredivisie factor?

Neither of those are very good judges. You take into account he's coming to a new country and he's gotta do it week in week out as opposed to just occasionally and you see it's a lot tougher.

You look at his international team mate Bendtner who is brilliant for Denmark and you see that internationals can lie.

Then you look at someone like Wanyama, he's been killer in the CL but you can't base your opinion off that alone when he's playing in a league as weak as the Scottish one (mind you the Scottish League is much weaker than Eredivisie), he has to do it elsewhere before being put on the same level as someone like say his new team mate Schneiderlin.

He's still a brilliant prospect though.

Mourinho is a complete idiot if he gets rid of Mata! He was fourth best in the league last season after Suarez, Bale and RVP.

Crazy from Mou to even think about offering Mata in exchange for Rooney, let alone offering an additional 10m cash. And even crazier of Moyes to reject it apparently!

Anyway.....

Napoli reveal transfer budget | Football Italia

?If we add that ?64.5m to the ?60m that we had in our budget already then we get ?124.5m that Napoli will invest with diligence and experience."

Hope Rafa puts the money into good use, as he almost always has. :thumbs

Jose wouldn't prefer a player like Mata in the team maybe.

Eriksen's a bit over rated for me, but he could do a fine job at clubs like Bayer or for us.

Albiol's there for a medical, and they've been linked with Higuain too. If they could also convince Di Maria to join, Napoli could make top 3 again I guess.

Nah, Edin still has unfinished business with City.

Roma announce Maicon signing - ESPN FC

Good riddance.

Negredo set to join Manchester City - ESPN FC

So Aguero's staying, Dzeko's staying, Negredo's here and Jovetic is coming, 4 strikers for what exactly? Going by the system we played vs Supersport United on Sunday it'll only be 1 of them through the middle... please sell Dzeko, Pellegrini, please.

That's four guys for two positions assuming it's still the 4-2-3-1 sort of team that Mancini was using. Nothing wrong with that. Jovetic isn't a striker, or at least he isn't yet, he'll be on the wings or behind the striker. Aguero can play behind the striker as well so that's a good number.

Negredo isn't a very good signing though. I feel he can do better than Dzeko, but he is still very flaky. He has his patches of great form and terrible form. Plus he's a lump and like Dzeko isn't versatile at all. Someone who could play behind the striker or on the wings like maybe Su?rez would've been better.

On the topic of Su?rez, according to Kike Marin we could be close to getting him. I think even if he hands in a transfer request we'll struggle to get him and will end up signing someone like Bafetimbi Gomis or Christian Benteke.

Higuain should be an easy signing for Napoli and a good one considering he's half the price of Cavani even though Cavani isn't much better, if at all better. Selling Cavani is a great idea for them, with that money they can definitely seriously challenge Juve. Juve aren't spending more than 10 m odd on players so it'll be tighter this season.

"Although the terms of the offer are confidential, for the avoidance of doubt, and contrary to what is apparently being briefed to the press in Sydney, the proposed purchase price does not include the transfer or loan of any Chelsea players to Manchester United."

That's the thing, we've actually changed systems, or so it seems, a 4-3-3 is what's been played post-season and in pre-season thus far (1 game), and Jovetic fits into that, him on the left, Aguero through the middle, and Navas on the right with Dzeko on the bench is what I thought we were going for, but we've gone out and signed Negredo...

Mourinho: It's Rooney or bust - ESPN FC

Almost like Pep the other day, except Jose can't be trusted. :p

Not comfortable with Rooney going to Chelsea if it does happen, much prefer him to go overseas.

Who exactly do Manchester United plan on replacing him with (if they do sell him)? Falcao's gone, Cavani's gone, Ibrahimovic is well out of their reach, Lewandowski only wants Bayern, Liverpool wouldn't sell them Suarez, the best of the rest is on his way to the other side with Jovetic to follow, Higuain? Nah, more playing time for Welbeck it is! :p

Feyenoord confirm interest in Manchester City's John Guidetti - ESPN FC

Still injured at the moment, or in the process of rehabilitation I should say, but hopefully he can get fit before the window closes and seals a move off for the season. :thumbs

It would be a huge mistake to sell him to Chelsea, or Man City. If we let him go, he must go overseas. That way we wouldn't be strengthening one of our main domestic rivals, and it'll benefit England as well. Selling to one of our top two challengers would be an own goal to rank alongside Arsenal selling us RvP.

He's definitely going though. What's Moyes thinking saying what he said? He's basically saying that if RvP gets injured, we'll need Rooney. That sounds as though he is not going to use Rooney as a front line player - unless what he said has been misconstrued. Either way, terrible wording Mr Moyes. Terrible.

We don't need to replace him with another striker - we have RvP, Hernandez and yes, Welbeck. OK, he didn't score enough goals last season - that obviously has to be worked on, but I think we're OK for strikers. Even Ashley Young can do the job if absolutely necessary. As for Ibra, I wouldn't want him at Utd. Every time I've seen him play against an English side, he has not impressed me. One uber-goal against England doesn't make him a great Premiership player in my book.

I'm not worried about Welbeck - you've only got to look at him when playing for England; he's already got plenty of goals and has never really let the side down. He's a young player and will improve and with Rooney most likely going, this could be his year. For me, it must be his year if he is to make it as a Utd player. Tricky footwork is not his strength though - could you see Shearer doing that sort of thing? Nope. He knew his strengths and by God, he played to them.

No, what we really need is a stronger midfield. I hope we get Felliani and some sort of creative midfield playmaker as well; I'm still not sure about Kagawa either. And apparently, people have been racing back from the Australia tour to finalise a big deal. Bale? Fabregas?

Gotta love the rumour season. :D

Oh, and Chelsea? If we did end up selling to you, any deal would have to include Mata. Otherwise, you can take a running jump - that would be my view.
