Football Transfers Thread

Not a clue whether or not this letter's fake (just picked it up from one of the football forums), but if it is indeed real, I wonder what the "agreement we have in place with David Moyes" and the "terms and conditions" refer to? Maybe Moyes isn't allowed to sign Everton players for a certain period of time?

Yeah, a bit like how Rodgers was not supposed to take Swansea players, which ended up in Allen's transfer.

Terms and conditions my arse - managers have always returned to their former clubs for players.

It would've been a gentleman's agreement at best, Moyes was out of contract at Everton so it wouldn't have been like Rodgers's agreement I'd imagine.. Still poor form though.

thanks for wasting a year of his life

No he ruined his own career thinking about the money,

You don't join the champions from an average at best team and expect to be playing a lot, he knew his chances were going to be minimal but he saw these ?????????? signs.

I don't blame him for that, but it was his decision and he has to live with it.

Don't think he is all that any way

Yeah, he was an idiot for not staying with Swansea. Now he's going to WBA - who are far inferior to Swansea.

Hmm with Wilian now off to Chelsea, Spurs will have real trouble. He isn't as good as his price tag suggests, but he would've been pretty much the only natural creator in that team. Lamela will finish the chances but he won't really create them. Soldado will finish and do nothing else. Chadli just isn't that good. Lennon is Lennon.

Spurs have a great counter-attacking side now but they are absolutely devoid of any creativity, they will absolutely struggle against the park-the-bus teams. They also have to all gel together. Without Bale they would've probably finished below Liverpool and their new signings won't cover his departure, especially when there are so many new guys who need to gel together. Should be good against top teams and I think they can beat Arsenal next week.

I reckon they won't be much trouble to us this season though. They can certainly do some damage in the cups and in Europe but I think Liverpool are a much more rounded side and will finish above them in the league. With or without Suarez.

Sure he might not be "all that", but what pisses me off is he wasn't given enough chances to even show me that.

Not to mention Swansea have strengthened their squad to decent levels this summer. West Brom on the other hand have lost Lukaku and are also among the lowest 5 spenders (NET) in the Premiership this summer - along with Liverpool, United, Arsenal & Newcastle. Not even remotely close to Swansea imo.

Swansea just won a trophy and are in Europe.

West Brom finished above them in the league and are historically a large club.

I'd say Swansea are a better a team, but to say a team that finished 3 points above another is far inferior is silly.

But I guess people will get everything out of proportion as west brom aren't fashionable with the media because they don't win the passing that much.
