Football Transfers Thread

It does make sense if we are lining up Mata. Just because we'd never get him and Chelsea would never sell to us, doesn't mean we can't be lining him up;).

You'd be better off searching for a more realistic target, on the other hand, he's a good smokescreen to use in reality though.

Arsenal's realistic targets at the start of the window imo were Higuain, Gustavo, Rami and Cesar, they've let 2 slip right through their hands and the other 2 they haven't bothered shoring up.

nah. Makes sense to go for someone experienced, you already have nastasic who is younger (although more experienced) than Boyata, don't want too much youth in central defence really.

I was going to say that we have Garcia who could play the odd game in central defence, but that doesn't look all that wise after we've conceded 3 vs Cardiff today, even though 2 of those were off set pieces...

Surely he didn't think they'd be that limited though, eh? ;)

In other news, Ozil to Old Trafford sounds like it might well happen. Moyes is acting like a bit of a prat over the Felliani/Baines situation though. :facepalm

That's what I was getting at, Sinclair's chances weren't limited, they were few and far between, and that was all down to Mancini himself.

Don't think either of them would materialize but when was the last time the best player in a club was sold as surplus to the squad, rather from out of interest from other clubs?

If Chelsea really get Rooney to join them, you can admit they're being unfair to Ba. But that's what gives when a mercenary joins a mercenaries' club. >:P

Ba simply isn't that good, he's a decent finisher and can do it for a mid-table club but not Chelsea.

Chelsea really need someone like Rooney and other than maybe Benzema I can't see anyone else really available, maybe Jackson Martinez. Suarez won't want to go there. When you take that into account and the fact that Mata will be heavily underplayed, then perhaps a Mata-Rooney swap deal could work to their advantage, even if it does immensely strengthen Man Utd.

Where is the prediction thread this season btw Haari:p?

^Got that right. he is overrated anyway, he hasn't even scored more than four goals in a season ever in the Ukranian League... That is beyond poor when you compare him to guys like Schurrle and de Bruyne.

Real look set to possibly lose both Ozil and di Maria to finance the Bale move and possibly Benzema too to finance Suarez.

Bale and Suarez are good but sacrificing those three isn't worth it, especially for Bale. I am confident if both Suarez and Bale go to Madrid Suarez will do better comfortably.

If Real Madrid wants Suarez they have to sell either Ronaldo or Di Maria because where will Bale play? The only positions i can see him play is the LW/LM or ST, The only possibility is Bale playing as a Striker or Ronaldo goes back to Man U

AFAIK Bale can fit in quite nicely in the right wing as an inside forward.

Angel will be useless in that case so it's better to sell Angel. Bale could play as a forward , center forward and Benzema could be is sub.
