^It might... If we offer Milan Suarez+Some money.
Just by hearing that news I got a feeling Suarez is heading to the exit door.

no, 20m is about right.

this ties in with don's post about honda. He's right that we've nabbed a great player, and for free at that, but for me there's an element that hacks me off. before the summer big name transfers were ruled out, we were building for the future in a move which came dubbed as the project. tbh what seemed to happen by august was "the project" had been totally forgotten in favour over cheap signings. We bought saponara in january, since then Poli is the only play under 27 we've brought in (the bulk of our money was insanely spent on 29 year old Matri, who isn't even that good), saponara and cristante haven't played a minute either and niang and el shawaary have been increasingly marginalised. so neither on the pitch or off it are we really giving a sod about building for the future.

basically I think honda is coming in and El shawaary will be sold because it means we don't have to re-invest his transfer fee. if someone can table a 20m plus offer he'll go because we're all about short term thinking and making a quick buck these days, it's 50/50 in january and even more likely in summer, basically the only thing that will save him is a a bad season that puts everyone off.

Agree but if El Shaarawy does come to Liverpool, it is quite obvious Suarez is on his way to Madrid for 50 mil, encase we play El Shaarawy in the Moses position.

No way are Real Madrid spending ?50 M, they aren't made of money. They are still reeling after the Bale deal, they will have offer around ?30 M max for Suarez and Liverpool will accept.

They will definitely need Suarez, Benzema has been absolutely AWFUL this season.

Would El Shaarawy really want to leave in January instead of the summer? Will the club want to get rid of him in January as well?

Coutinho's the man to play Moses' role in the 3-4-1-2.

This, but tbh I don't see us playing 3412 for much longer. Played some poor football in that system and we haven't exactly managed great results either. Can see us reverting back to Rodgers' traditional 4-2-3-1 sooner or later..

lol

even though SES seems to want to stay at milan (I believe he shot down someone this summer in favour of staying) this wasn't enough in the case of Kaka, who was practically kicked out the door. We tried to get him to accept Man City and he stood firm but when Madrid came in I guess he thought "obviously not wanted."

Allegri isn't playing him as much and it's rumoured he'll be out the starting XI when Honda arrives, no one knows if this is because the management wants to ease his departure by keeping him unsettled or if Allegri doesn't trust him. To be honest, most of the stuff Galliani has said doesn't sound like a guy committed to keeping a prize asset.

what ever the case there's no way you could say he's unattainable in the january window.

Yeah I guess a move is definitely on the cards then.

With the way that van Persie is falling out with Moyes, who reckons Lewandoski to Man Utd is a possibility with Rooney and van Persie leaving?

possibly, the problem is every big club in europe is treating Dortmund like a supermarket. It might come down to identifying which of Dortmunds players would be best then finding a striker elsewhere because to be frank Man U must fancy the idea of Hummels, Gundogan and Reuss as well, Dortmund will obviously never sell all of them though.

Why Man Utd in particular? No reason why any of them would want to go there barring probably Lewandowski the way they're playing and with David Moyes. Other big European clubs, maybe.

Hummels is a immensely overrated and brainless, would love to see him at Man Utd and Reus wouldn't fit in there, he is an average crosser of the ball.

well, exactly, they could go anywhere, lewandoski is wanted by bayern but hell, why not Madrid as well? we already know barcelona want Hummels, Arsenal are looking at Reus. every big club sees their stars as gettable but you can't get them all, the Gotze fee essentially meant they could take a risk on losing lewandoski for nothing.

Disagree on Reus completely if you're saying he's over-rated or average, I think he's brilliant, though not necessarily all about crossing, it's arsenal that want him, he'd be a huge improvement on walcott.

The question is, does Guardiola actually want Lewandowski in his system? He is somewhat similar to Mandzukic and he doesn't play all the time. He'll take him for free, but you get the feeling a Suarez type would fit in there much better.

Lewandowski would fit in very well at Madrid, though a front three of Ronaldo - Lewandoski - Bale is just too selfish, he needs to work on that or Di Maria would have to play.

Reus would fit in very well at Arsenal, he isn't going there though that's for sure, the club isn't going to stump up the money and Dortmund won't sell. I can see him staying at Dortmund for the next season or two, he is one they won't get rid of. Mind you he has said multiple times that he likes Arsenal and that Rosicky is his idol, if he did move there's a good chance it would be Arsenal if we offer enough money.

I said Hummels was overrated mate;). Reus is world class and one of the best wingers there is. Man Utd need their wingers to be able to cross the ball, he is more an inside forward though and is an average crosser of the ball so wouldn't be as good there as he would be at say Arsenal. Man Utd would benefit more from getting guys like Cuadrado and Gaitan. I agree he would be a huge improvement on Walcott. That would make for the best attacking midfield in Europe you'd have to say rivalling Barca and Bayern, possibly bettering them, Reus - Ozil - Cazorla.
