well just my opinion but crossing isn't necessary for wingers, full backs yes but not attacking wide mids any more. in fact, it's the reason they need to upgrade evra imo, he's not producing enough end product. man u need someone that can get involved out wide and develop stuff but that doesn't need to be crosses into the box, valencia's problem is that he's so rarely contributing anything when going forward and drifts out of the game.

kagawa, rooney and giggs were constantly on the ball yet valencia only popped up every now and again. reus would be awesome for them, but I agree, he's unlikely to leave.

The thing is, Dortmund don't have to sell, so expect only Lewandowski out the door next summer.

Sahin to Real, 2011
Kagawa to United, 2012
Gotze to Bayern, 2013
Lewandowski to ?????, 2014

No way are Real Madrid spending ?50 M, they aren't made of money. They are still reeling after the Bale deal, they will have offer around ?30 M max for Suarez and Liverpool will accept.

They will definitely need Suarez, Benzema has been absolutely AWFUL this season.

Ibra's the answer, given his age Real won't have to pay a ridiculously over the top fee while still getting a world class striker, and I highly doubt Suarez leaves Liverpool next year if they make top 4, which I'm positive they will.

I agree in most teams that wingers who can cross it aren't really required, but for Man Utd, it absolutely is. It was under Ferguson and now even more so under Moyes.

Crossing is still something to look for in wingers, Navas's game rides mostly on his pace, dribbling and crossing for example, and Man Utd definitely need one winger like that if not two. Like Valencia. Cuadrado fits the bill. Valencia now is useless, because he's simply not a good player, he's brainless and knows only how to run and cross with his right foot. Needs luck like he got in 11/12. A guy like Cuadrado is an improved Valencia, he can cross it but he can cause problems with his dribbling and simply transition the ball from midfield to attack and he is deadly on the counter. A bit like what Navas did against Man Utd but more consistent.

Also, you have to think that Man Utd need a more defensive full-back, Baines and Rafael for example will get destroyed in defence. Having a full-back who can cross the ball very well means the full-back on that side can sit back more and defend.

One attacking full-back worth maybe looking at for United is Guardado. Very attacking and quite poor defensively but both his delivery from wide and his pace is outstanding.

Reus is world class, he would fit in at any team on the planet. It would be a shame to see him at Man Utd though, he needs to play in a set-up that suits him very well to be at his best, teams like Dortmund and Arsenal are the ones that would give him this opportunity.

Ye true this. Only thing i wonder if is with what PSG are building currently if Zlatan would actually leave this time.

Age won't come into mind on Ibra. At the form he is in he could go for good amount of money.

if the french government stands firm on the new tax laws french clubs will have to trim their squads, even PSG.

Cavani even might be a realistic target. benzema plus some cash? PSG get to lower their wage bill, make some money and get a proven french striker. real madrid get an upgrade on their striker, cavani's wages are much higher than benzema's but still fit very easily into their wage structure (with bale on 15m a season, ronaldo on 21m, cavani is on 10m with a higher rate of tax) and uruguayans usually fit quite nicely into spain.

If PSG were to let any one go to cut their wage bill, I think it'd be Ibra, Cavani's a lot younger and given his age, they can build a side around him to last at least 5 years or so.

The funny thing with Benzema though, he's become a bit of an assist machine of late, 20 last season and 15 the season before, Ibra would love having him cutting it back like he does for Cristiano. :rolleyes

He would only leave if Cavani started outshining him.

There's no way Cavani's going to outshine him playing on the right side, Blanc is seriously clueless. :facepalm

Anyways, he wanted out last summer when there was no Cavani to outshine him, so I think it's very much a possibility if the no poaching clause is off, but then again, Ibra signed an extension till 2016 just last month.

yeah but there's ibra's wages, it's likely even if PSG did get in the position they needed to trim the wage bill ibrahimovic would be difficult to find a buyer for unless he was to take a pay cut, which is unlikely given he's in as good form now as he's ever been and won't get a 21m a year contract from anyone else. the thing about the tax laws is they're actually beneficial to players rather than clubs, so it's the club that'll need to trim the wage bill, not players that will be taking a pay cut because of taxes.

when Ibrahimovic leaves I reckon it will likely be on a free to someone in america or china or the like.

I actually think a cavani for benzema deal would make more sense. cavani would move given he'd keep his pay cheque and go to a bigger club, benzema gets to play for a team roughly as competitive and keep his pay, PSG would be able to off-set their wage bill with the money and wages saved (arguably, given how they're using Cavani they'd have a more suitable striker like you said), madrid would get a more efficient striker without having to spend the 30-40m they'd need for suarez. there's also the bonus that the language barriers and culture differences would suit both players better.

I'm just speculating on it of course, no one's even suggested it, but I'm kinda impressed with myself for suggesting such a pragmatic, sensible move for both clubs. :p the only problem is p/x deals rarely happen because both clubs haggle over the values so much.

Don't get why nearly every English supporter says Joe Hart is great, but he is not he is just over rated with good defense to help him. Fraser Forster is much better than Hart. In January maybe Pellegrini to look for a new GK?

He is/was great, he's just going through rough patch, but he has 2 months to sort it out or Begovic might be brought in.

A club that has money wouldn't just sit there and watch Joe Hart's bad performances, they will straight away start looking for some one new.

Now tell me why the hell are City & Spurs interested in Sharrawy?

Just because a string of performances are bad dosen't mean you start looking for new keeper.Take for example,Beckham. The trust shown by Ferguson,it is what is required. The confidence is what gets player's to perform the way they do. :)

He's a young prodigy?
