Football Transfers Thread

If you're looking shaky you don't sell one of your best players.

I feel Aubameyang is still a good replacement for Lewandowski. They can buy someone else as cover, like maybe Kagawa outright, but a swap deal is madness. Why would Gundogan agree to go to that circus?

Yes, but as we both know its not going to be Dortumund's choice whether they sell their best players, if guys like Gundagon or Reus seek transfer like Gotze & Lewandowski.

Word is Gundagon wants to go to Madrid, their midfield is packed even with Khedira out injured. United is simply option for him if he wants to go to a big club in (in name not current performance) & will guaranteed 1st team ball. It will simply come down to if United seriously go after him, Gundagon's personal view on United.

Dortmund recently took back Nuri Sahin, after he struggled to cement a place & Madrid/Pool - so a precedent does exist, for a repeat scenario occurring with Kagawa.

Schalke signing Sidney Sam for 2.5ME more than makes up for them losing out Holtby to Spurs for 2ME last year. Terrific piece of business! Draxler on his way out then?

Also Radja Nainngolan signs on loan with Roma until the end of the season! :D An already world class midfield now reaches another level with his addition. Can't wait to see them in the Champions League next season!

Sidney Sam has had a decent season, looking at the price and comparing it to what Draxler will sell for, it's a great bit of business. He's not quite top quality though.

Draxler will surely be off either in January or the summer, he is unhappy nd the club won't exactly stop him. He seems to prefer a move to Arsenal but honestly we don't have that much space. With Walcott's injury, maybe we might pick him up, but a striker is needed more.

Also a big tug-of-war between us and Roma for Barca's starlet Tonny Sanabria. I can't see why he wouldn't want to come to us as we are so light on strikers, but I guess if Roma offers him top money he will go there. Will be interesting to see how that turns out.

Yeah I heard about Gundogan to Madrid, I think it could happen even though they are stacked.

I think there's a good chance Kagawa will go back to Dortmund, he will barely go for ?10 m though. Gundogan is easily a ?30 m+ player. Man Utd are in no position to say "give us Gundogan, otherwise no Kagawa for you!"

I very much doubt Reus will leave unless he is forced out, he is at his boyhood club and will stay there for at least another couple of seasons surely, while they're still near the top.

Ha. The guy who flopped on loan for us, probably could do with him now.
Paul Lambert needs to bring in Steven Defour at all costs. With 42 caps he's a player that knows the field and his way around it. Fallen out of favour with Porto so securing his services won't even be that difficult. High wage demands? Tough! Look at the bigger picture, a little spending here could prevent a big loss at the end of the season. Lambert has to break out of his pansy little transfer policy and think BIG! Our youngsters don't look like coming good. Too bad all the cash was given to O'Neil to splash. So aggrieved by this 'sell-to-buy' mantra, Randy Lerner needs to cough up.

Ha ye Don, all top players rumored going to United are a pipe dream really. But i'd say the Gundogan scenario only seems the most plausible of the lot, because of Kagawa and Dortmund looking shaky with the sale of Lewandowski.

These days they are.

someone on the milan boards nailed our transfer policy lately.

Before if we were linked with a player I'd look him up, videos, stats, how'd he fit in etc... now the first thing I do if we're linked with a player is check his contract status.

haha.

Hehe, the signings are definitely a step in the right direction though. Rami and Honda are more like it, rather than the likes of Francesco Acerbi and Bakaye Traore.

Defoe completes his move to Toronto FC. Huge coup for them, as is Bradley.

I'm sure Ryan Nelsen's short spell at Tottenham with Defoe is what ensured Defoe properly listened to the offer. He is set to be one of the true stars of the MLS.

Also, I very much doubt this is the end of his spell at Tottenham. Expect some short loans in the coming seasons, a la Dempsey or Donovan.

hands up, I don't know much about Rami, but Zapata looked better than him. maybe he's just got fat not playing for 4 months but he looked like a massive tank that could barely move, zapata at least provided a bit of mobility. looking forward to seeing honda and hoping we'll see less and less of robinho.

North koreans taking over the world would seem more appropriate than this. Dire attempt (source) to keep the rumor mill moving on. Wouldn't mind if Moyes gave a thought about Mirallas though.
