Football Transfers Thread

I feel 27M is too much for a 18 year old , despite his potential and the fact he is English.

I feel it isn't. The team that buys him is sorted at LB for the next 15 odd years. Amounts to less than ?2 m a season.

Transfer news: Chelsea agree deal to sign Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa | Football News | Sky Sports

That's a steal for Costa, and with Lukaku coming back from loan, and either Ba or Torres staying (most likely Ba), that's Chelsea's striker problem sorted.

Ye you would think so. But their is a little bit of conjecture as to whether Chelsea/Mourinho will recall Lukaku from his loan.

You get the feeling that Mourinho ego spent all season trying to prove critics wrong that he wasn't wrong to loan him out ha.

He's done far too well in his 2 loan spells that even if Mourinho wanted to sell him, the club wouldn't, at least I think they'd be smart enough to, and also, look at their options, Eto'o is leaving, Torres has some heavy interest from Inter (even though Mourinho's said he'd be totally happy to keep him), then there is Ba, and he's better than all 3 of them.

Meanwhile we're signing Adam Lallana for 20mil ffs...

Good player mind, but we're in the Champions League and ought to aim better. Bundesliga has bucket loads of talent available on the cheap. Meyer, Goretzka and Firmino to name a few..

Yeah , I can see many mid-table PL clubs vying for Aaron Hunt , a steady performer who will be available for free. If HSV get relegated , the likes of Calhanoglu , Tah , Adler , van der Vaart et al will be available for cheap. I guess Kiyotake of Nurnberg will be available for cheap as well now that they are relegated.

Yep, certainly some great players there. The PL clubs should be all over the lot of them.

Van speaking on the United situation & a dutch press conference today said the following:

"Last week i spoke a few words about United. I did so because some british journalist were their and I didn't to be mean spirited. But they took my few words & turned it into 64 pages - you can't do much about that"

....the british media :facepalm
