Where did you hear Tevez turned us down? I've not heard anything about it at all. I wouldn't want Tevez,too similar to Rooney and Anderson imo i'd rather have a pure goal scorer. Would love Villa but thats not going to happen when you've already spent 50 mil. Think we've missed a trick with Torres but Id rather have Nani and Anderson for the same price. Only positions we need strengthening now are up front and in goal. Foster may play a more prominant role this year though and Kuzcak is permanently here too.

I thought the Robben issue was closed and that he was close to extending his contract at Chelsea.

Chivu's agent has admitted that Real have made a far higher bid than Barcelona for the Roma defender. Chivu himself has also expressed his desire to play for the Spanish champions.

and they have agreed to sign Edmilson in January

I don't think you have got Edmilson. Wages seem to be a stumbling block at the moment, it's reported he wants 100k + in wages. And a club like Newcastle can't really afford to pay that.

I still don't think it's a worthwhile deal. Edmilson isn't an absolutely brilliant defender, and I wouldn't pay 100k a week for someone who wasnt in the top 10 of their position.
