Our defence looks all over the place at the moment with all our injuries. We need to pick up another one and a midfielder as well.

Has anybody seen the website transfermarkt? Seems to be a decent one, with some statistics. But can it be trusted?

Well done, QPR! They get a great young player in Macheda he gets some regular game-time so that when he comes back to Utd, he'll be a more rounded player.

Looks like there's only place for one young holding midfielder, and that's definitely Coquelin who looks higher up the pecking order at the Emirates.

Add to that the fact that two "new" players are joining Arsenal shortly, Abou Diaby and Jack Wilshere, and there just isn't any space for him.

The loan will do him good.

Based on what i've seen he is certainly better than Coquelin, he should have gone on loan.

Plus I think he could have played well enough to push Diaby (who IMO isn't that special) for a regular place.

Yeah Diaby needs to leave. He has pretty much no potential.

Coquelin is slightly more consistent at this young age IMO, but Frimpong has more talent and potential and is a tough tackler. Plus he always works at 110%. Coquelin probably the better choice as he will probably get regular game time with the full-back crisis. I think Vermaelen is injured again and Djourou has his red.

Another rumour is that we're going to try and hijack Chelsea's move for Cahill. That one could have substance, because we need defenders.

Although i think Cahill is a bit overrated, its a bit over the top to call him atrocious.

Yeah he is really overrated, but he's also not quite reached the peak years for a centre back yet and is clearly a Premiership standard defender. Whether he's top 4 standard I think is highly debateable.

His positioning is awful, he's slow, he always moves away from his line to attack the ball and leaves his partner in no man's land when he isn't quick enough to the ball. What can he do other than just throw his body at the ball? He's a liability for Bolton, how the hell is he good enough for a top four club?

News going on around that Arsenal are interested in buying Kalou. He has served his time well at Chelsea and if Arsenal wants him, they can go ahead and take him!
