FTP: FTP commentary thread

Nagi = cap/cap
Salim = reas/average
Smith = cap/reas

You got all 3 of them out fairly cheaply so good effort so far.

Your 3/63 after 18 overs now. Should be all over. Great knocks by Smith and Prasoon really helped me later in the innings there.

Good game Matt.

Got some improving to do on the seam and the batting.

Your batters played really well in that match Syl.

Won my t20 match which pushes me up to third place now. Happy with that. Hoping to finish second seems I'm only 4 points behind second but 20 behind first so that's an unrealistic target.

G. Lee 104 (93b) , J. Swanson 55 (59b) , D. Harman 7-0-53-0

Great start from my opening batsmen, but Keating got run out for 28. Now my gun batsman and captain Geoffery Lee passed 100 and Swanson has passed 50. They've rebuilt a strong partnership, hope to see this go far. Only the 30th over as well. Got another 10 to go.

Here's the link to my youth match here. I just can't get over how good my Youth side is :p

Update #1:
Code:
36.2	W	Connell to Lee : [catch] What was Lee thinking. Either have a go, or leave it alone. A fairy nothing shot gives the easiest of catches to Britt.
G. Lee c W. Britt b. C. Connell 135 (109b 7x4 0x6) SR:123.85

Well their goes Lee in the 36th over. Excellent knock of 135 from 109 deliveries. He's got a batting average a tad of 70 last time I checked, which was a day or so ago.

But now it's Swanson's turn to hit a century, he's currently on 90 from 82 balls.

Update #2: Swanson just hit his century via a boundary then a single, great stuff. Cruising on 2 for 280 with 12 overs to go.

Update #3: Just passed 300, Swanson on 111 from 92 and Crowder on 26 from 11 deliveries.

Update #4: ... and thats end of our batting innings, after 40 overs we stand at 2 for 306. They'll be looking to chase 307 so hopefully we my team can mount some pressure and cause a collapse.

Update #4: 17 overs into bowling, and we have them at 4 for 71. Their chasing 307 with 13 overs to go. Looks like I have this match in the bag. Oh an, if Keating would have kept on going, he would've ended up with a career average of over 80. Maybe next week it'll happen. But next week is going to be a tough one, I'm up against the Galston Bashers and their equal first with me. Just now, they have 1st spot but it'll change as I move back at the top when I win this match. They ended up creaming 'carols 11' by 10 wickets, bowling them out for a meagre 68. So next week, the winner takes the top spot, it'll be a cracker or a match.

Update #5: Well as I was typing Update #4, I had gotten another wicket via a misfielded run-out by Lee off Mahboob[/u's bowling. Their cowering at 5 for 75.

Update #6: ... and Mahboob picks up another wicket, he's a gun of a bowler. Their 6 for 76 at the moment at the 20 over mark.

Awesome display by new recruit Tasleem taking 5-38. Ended up bowling the bot for 204. In reply got the total with 9 wickets to spare in 31.3 overs with Cawley 91 and Abbas 72.

Made 418 thanks to 184 to Shukla, 130 to Ellis, and 67 too Anneveld. Would have been good to watch, as I rolled them for 77 to win by 341.

Not a bot, either. Just a unmanaged or rarely managed team. :p

Default, therefore not strongest, team going for this match against Matt, that would have been a part of my story. He's batting well, just a tad too slow though, but it's good for me. Hoping I can restrict him in the flurry of runs at the end, and pick up a few wickets to slow him down, then chase it down easily.

Matt pumped it at the end, really scored quickly to make 3-271. I am confident, losing Shukla early doesn't help the confidence though. The wicket was in the 3rd over, my best 2 bats (arguably, by top 3 are my best) in now.

FML, I shouldn't be attacking with the top order.

Don't know if Max went 2nd 11 on me but had a close game.

Had him at 210 after 40 overs with Roy taking 2 wickets.
I got to 8/190, Gordon the pick with 72 from 77.

My best kiddies, thats what I get for not caring about FTP for like a year. Just made sure my team didn't go bot, but I'm putting some effort in now.

We should have a senior friendly sometime.
