Yeah, I have vague memories of this, what were the specifics?

I remember Shaun Pollock as captain once made a similar error.
Here's the highlights

I recently watched a random match from IPL 1 between Mumbai Indians and Deccan Chargers. I was really surprised to see Luke Ronchi of all people opening for MI.
Just saw this about Luke Ronchi . He is surely surprising

No, we need to play more test matches (none since 2014 :noway )

Look, a healthy Zimb is good for cricket and I remember they used to have good times but those days are long gone. Zimb should be used as an ODI/T20 side and someone more worthy should be given their test spot. Of course, they should have a shot at promotion in the future.

A lot of the fans would argue that the shorter the game is the worse we get. I want to see Zimbabwe play more Test cricket both home and away.

It doesn't matter who gets the 'spot' if they still have Zimbabwe's complete lack of test fixtures, you simply cannot develop as a cricket team if you don't get consistently scheduled matches. Especially not when the money side of things results in tests being replaced with ODIs and T20s.

10 test sides is just as arbitrary of a number as 11 or 9 would be, Zimbabwe is no more or less worthy of playing test match cricket than any team likely to be in a position to replace them.
