Good to see the StickCricket bug catching you guys.Really like the diaries started and cant wait to get the tourny started. As for spinners, try practising against them.

StickCricket Bug? Never heard of that!

And as for the spinners and medium-pacers, I used to collapse against them too! But now, I can easily smash them all over the park! Its all about playing it late! The formula to play them is simple - Practice makes Perfect! :)

Yep i hate spinners. But ive practiced and gotten better!

Here are my spin tips:Offspin:

Offstump-Full: The ball that is pitched on offstump, full, you should try using the left arrow key, or the up arrow key. I personally find the left arrow key more successful, but that's just me.

Offstump-Short: The ball that is pitched full outside offstump, all you need to do is use the left arrow key. I find with this delivery waiting a little while also works.

Middlestump-Full: You should basically use the up arrow key or left arrow key for this delivery. Either will do.

Middlestump-Short: You should use the left arrow key for this delivery. Using any other key will get you out or a dot ball.

Leg Spin:

Offstump-Full: The ball that is pitched on offstump, full, you should try using the left arrow key, or the up arrow key. I personally find the left arrow key more successful, but that's just me.

Offstump-Short: The ball that is pitched full outside offstump, all you need to do is use the left arrow key. I find with this delivery waiting a little while also works.

Middlestump-Full: You should basically use the up arrow key or left arrow key for this delivery. Either will do.

Middlestump-Short: You should use the left arrow key for this delivery. Using any other key will get you out or a dot ball.

Legstump-Full: You can use any of your keys to hit this one, apart from the down key.

Legstump-Short: Basically use the right arrow key, to cut it. This is the only key that will hit the ball.

Other Tips:

1. Try playing against SPIN (Type spin into the password box) and try to get out on purpose. Then, do it again, this time pretend you are playing a real match, and feel the difference.

Some excellent tips there, playing spin is probably one of the toughest challenges in the game. This should also prove useful to those who arent very good at the game or those whove never played it before.Well done.

Yep nice tips. I hate playing on spin. Thanks for that JikJak. Reps are coming your way!

I look forward to playing spin actually, it's them damn medium pace trundlers that always give me problems.

I find medium pacers pretty comfortable most of the times, its just a case of picking up the line of the delivery as early as possible.Im starting to sort myself against the spinners as well after a couple of practice nets against them today. The main problem I have is with consistency,I usually have some excellent overs where I get 30+ runs, but then end up having a bad over with wickets including which end me up around 225-250 odd.

Btw a general tip from my behalf for the group stages would be to concentrate on the World team and their bowlers.Since we'll all be placed in different leagues(for each group),we'll all have to do the 10 over slog which would be against the World XI team.

hitting pace bowlers is easy specially the inswingin ones ..i hit em straight to the scoreboard and the scoreboard gets damaged.
spin is a prob but im praticin hard

I found this out a few months ago and i'm sure everyone knows it, but just in case you didn't then read on;

To enable counties to be playable, then simply click on Richie Benaud's nose during a game. :)

and if you want to play as 1987 teams then you click the duck when you get out for nothing ;)

And if you want to play with County teams from 1987, you go to Counties and do the 1987 trick or vice versa.

:p Nah, that doesn't work :D Bet you tried it though :p

I don't quite understand the need for rule #4. Why should we have to post a screenshot of the score EVERY time we put up a new score? Or did I just read it wrong?
